Is the custom duty same for a Brand new as well for a Used bike..??
I am getting a sense here that majority of these bikes being imported must be used, models.Originally posted by superbikez View PostGovt change its policy after every few months. 1 year before policy was you only import brand new zero meter bike (but only 1 year old)
Year half, Govt changed its policy and the new policy in mid of 2011 was you import 3 years old motorcycle either old or new.
Now current policy is you can import only 2 years old motorcycle (i think) new and old both.
Honda, Yamaha & Suzuki already operate in Pakistan as "Atlas Honda, "DYL : Dawood Yamaha Limited" and "Pak Suzuki", they can import their Super Sports bikes is demand for brand new models are so high in Pak. What's stopping them from doing so unless it does not make them profits.

But people first dont have much information how to import and from where they import. Secondly mostly individuals import because of (no dealer commission no hera pheeri 2 no. in any bike). If you live in Dubai and you got any motorcycle you know in and out of that motorcycle you will import it rather then bought from someone (trust deficit count)>> Speed has a Soul >>

Ok now I get the customer's perspective.Originally posted by superbikez View Postyes 4 Suzuki Hayabusa and 3 Katana 600 2 TL1000R imported by Suzuki Dealer in Pakistan

But what I do not get is why Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda (who already operate in Pakistan) do not want to sell its Super Sports / Big bikes the way it is selling them in India (with after sales service, Spare support and all..).

Hi my brother from the other side of the border. You guys have an awesome collection of rides, loved the Z1000, just had a question, are those the original packaging from the manufacturer, the reason am asking is, when we bought our FZ1 the bike has its front tire detached and tagged securely to side frames of the crate. Our friends R1 also came with the tire detached. So i belive these are not original packaging, am i right?Originally posted by superbikez View Post-

The absence of BASIC riding gears is a mere eyesore, other than that it's a pure delight to watch. Loved the Sick looking Busa (only for the looks it carries), Hanspree edition Fireblade, 50th Edition R1 & the never dying love for the Zx10R.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. U will always be remembered brother, R.I.P Arun.
