If anyone lacked in common sense .. you can't explain him/her. About so called tall claims i can't say anything because of TALL Claims. I am living here...
In that case the international bike manufacturers must be pretty DUMB not to sell their Superbikes in Pakistan (as per you there is a HUGE demand).

    Common sense, right..??

Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, RollsRoyce in Pakistan :P before anystatement do some research

and by the way Non of any INTERNATIONAL brand will sell their stuff in your country WITHOUT YOUR COUNTRY GOVT APPROVAL

and our govt is busy in corruption and have no vision and interested in motorcycles nor cars nor Motorway/automobile

Commonly you can see Corolla and Honda Civic on Pakistan's roads (90%) do you have any idea why ?

You don't know ... let me give you an example. Because these brands Toyota and Civic have old monopoly (from last 30 - 40 years). Every year these both brand pay heavily ($$$) to govt for just NOT TO RELEASE ANY CAR BRAND in Pakistan because it will effect their customer and sale (especially).

They allowed Porsche Audi etc because they knows not every person capable to buy 30 40 lac car

Today's LAnd Cruzer cost you in Pakistan almost 1.6 to 1.8. I saw 10 - 15 LC new everyday in Islamabad also new mercs and BMW's. People now go for Hummer H2 and Caddilac esclade in Pakistan because it will cost you 60 - 80 lacs (far less than LC and PRADO) anyway .. I told you ... i live here ... i know the reality...

          Thanks,

Imports have been allowed in Pakistan before you were born.. when we Indians used to ride only in Ambassadors and Premier Padminis

            Thanks,

I know very well that the largest selling car in Pakistan is the Suzuki Mehran (the carburetted version of the Maruti Suzuki 800)..!! And I also know that Pakistan allows the import of second hand cars.

But I basically don't understand cars, although in India almost every car brand is on sale..
Don't talk cars to me.. as i am not really into cars they way I am in bikes. Moreover, xBhp is a bike forum, not a car forum

By the way please answer my previous queries (on Bikes).

            1. Why do foreign namufacturers don't sell its Superbikes in pakistan?

            2. Do the imports also constitute of second hand imports too?

& i was saying we are unlucky coz we don't have an option to buy a 600CC supersports bike right from the dealership while people in pakistan have that option. That's it.

Petrol prices are now deregulated (market driven) in India..

With Lakhs of cars + bikes being added in India every month and all of them consuming petrol, how do you expect the petrol prices to remain low, that too when the world's oil reserves are limited..??

Increasing demand + Limited Suppy = Prices will increase (Economics law)

Lets be thankful that at least Diesel, LPG and Kerosene is still subsidized by the Govt.

But they can always import it individually & that too legally. No restriction on importing bikes below 800cc.

And that's why they have never been able to build domestic brands like Tata, Mahindra, TVS Motor, Bajaj and models like Scorpio, XUV 500, Apache RTR, Pulsar.

And we are soon going to buy a made in India KTM 200 Duke and in the future 350 cc (and hopefully above) models as well.

The best bikes that they have for the "aam aadmi" is the Honda CD70 and the Honda CG125
You got to see the whole picture bro..

I already give the answer of your question (Govt have no vision in this industry and because of our pathetic media and promotion of our nation stuff International brands don't have much idea about Pakistan simple. The things work through diplomatically and by media and both our govt is already **** and the media have no time to promote such things like motorspots etc. You have brands because of those people who have support in International community like Vijay Maliha etc. Hope you understand now.
