Hello V12, The bike seems to be coming pretty neat. one small suggestion, would you wanna try chopping off the top part of the engine head, I mean the fins or air vents( not sure about the name) Please check the attached snap of my bike.Once done it looks pretty neat and kinda looks as if it is a custom made engine.

and yeah, the engine heats up a bit more as the air flow doesnt really happen well.

nice job...why dont you try jus one speedo pod instead of the RX console...may be the one from the t'bird or the RD...should give it a period look...my 2 cents!! cheers

        Updates!

Chain/Sprocket Kit: The chain and sprockets badly needed replacement. Had a fun but terrible experience when we took the bike out for its first cafe ride with the two ECRs. The chain kept coming off and later completely got jammed in the front sprocket. So got that replaced with a brand new one.

Proton Exhaust: Installed the Proton Exhaust. Isn't quite loud and is almost the same as the stock silencer. Looks the part and matches the stance of the cafe. Didn't check the performance since the rear brake linkages are still pending.

Gear Rearset: When we first did this, it was too hard to operate. Moreover it used to get stuck in neutral every now and then. Anyways, got this sorted out too. Its as smooth, if not smoother, than the ECR gears. And it doesn't jam any longer.

Registration Plates: Ordered a set of High Security Plates. Will be here by next week.

        YCR is running very well!

          front suspension rx-100

hey guys can you please suggest me a good replacement for Front suspension to the stock i have put on my yamaha RX-100, the front suspension is very hard and shows off its true colors when on a bumpy road.

Stick to stock suspension and sizes, replace the fork pipes springs and fork seals motul fork oil

            and you are done

thanks psycho ,actually the problem was with my steering cone that was making things worse,i have rectified the problem now but i wish i could get more smoothness....... ever since i rode the new HONDA UNICORN i fell in love with its awesome suspension. will try the motul fork oil when i change the oil next time ,how frequently should fork oil replacement be done ????????

Hey Gordon and V12. the bike looks off the hook you know whats the best part i think the Tan seat is the best part it has given a totaly english look to this jap boy. the black engine looks amazing though i have never been a fan of the black engine, the black front fender real nice and classy. the white color does look a little bit too blunt but it goes with the bike very nicely...

you know what i am jealous of you. cause this is what i wanted to do to my bike but you geasers have already done this. but then way i still would do it if not the bullet then for sure its the yamaha thats going to be a Cafe racer.

                    take care

                    Good work
                    congrats once again

Lovely bike mate! Thanks a lot for sharing the photos. I would like to install that kind of Proton exhaust in my RX - 135... I live in the Bangalore area... could you please tell me how much I will have to spend for that? And is it gonna increase my bikes overall performance (topspeed and pickup)? Just wondering. I am a total noob in this area, and your help would be greatly appreciated.

                        Cheers!

I got the proton from straight6, a TEAM BHPian, who had one lying around. I didn't do any other performance modifications on the YCR yet, but planning for an upjet and open filter soon. About performance, since the brake rearsets aren't done, I wouldn't dare to check it.

Thanks for the review Desi D We are looking to make cafe parts for the Bullet but just because of the lack of time, there is a lotttt of delay. We generally don't get enough time to make these parts. But I'm sure that the rearsets and handlebar kit will be ready "someday". And the seat will be according to order.

                              proton for YCR?
get an exhaust done for the bike configurations.
protons are good, but YCR needs more than proton

Here's the bike sporting the new seat. How does it look?? Although it looks like a double-seat, its not.
