  • Restoring a Yamaha RXZ (1997)

    Hello Everyone,

I bought this Yamaha RXZ (4-speed) 1997 and planning to restore it completely! Bike was in bad shape cosmetically as you can see the pics but the engine was very crispy and powerfull. I have started collecting spares for it and expect it to be ready in a months time. Keeping my fingers crossed so that i get all the desired parts i need for the rebuild.

    Cheers!!

Good Luck Bigbore. Though you're more than capable to get hold of all the parts, let me know if you need anything from here, I'll do my best to source them for you.

        Good Luck!!!

all the best big bore for the Z project

I am in the verge of starting a project Z on a 98 4 speed RXZ I am getting from a private company disposing it on tender. thanks for Karthik in getting the necessary stuff for the build

i like to see a pair of alloys on the Z, which will be the best option (18") which can go with the 5 speed disc in the front and the stock Z rear sprocket ??

if I go with the gladiator discs can it take the stock RX rear sprocket? or any other options your ideas pls...thanks

                              Thanks for the wishes satishg

Nice to know you are also getting a RXZ and planning to restore it. And when gentleman like Karthik is helping you to source parts then i can imagine your project is going to be an awesome one. My best of wishes to you for the rebuild

(18'') alloys are an great option for the front and rear as they are direct fit and you wont require any kind of mods.

If you are planning to put Gladiator setup it can take the stock RX rear sprocket.
