Don't you think it deserves to be restored before RXZ

Congrats for your powerful find. All the best for the restoration
Trying to source the parts as of now, restoring it will take a lot of time & of course a lot of money

I see a stock air filterbox as well as UNI. I was under the impression that one doesn't need a stock airfilter box to setup UNI; would like to see how to setup the UNI on the Rx with stock air filter box. If you don't mind, pls post the pic for me? Tks.

Ganesh the RXZ is going to have a stock air filter & carb till the run-in period. I have purchased the UNI to be fitted directly later on the TM28FS.

Did I read TM28??? Lol, welcome to my family!!! Pls finish your project faster & I've so many questions to ask you on TM28 & Rx. I'm having hard time understanding that thing on my Rx.

Meanwhile, Pradeep suggested UNI, so your project makes a perfect education for learners like me

@RX88 - That's one beautiful looking Green Rxz; whosever it is, its sure for a head turner.

One has to understand a regular VM carb first to understand a TM.. both their constructions are very similar with the slide being the main difference.

surely the indian Z was comparetively better in terms of design compared to the malysian Z,but unfortunately it did not survive for a long period in the indian market, but one thing we have to agree that it was a good looking bike in the last era of 2strokes,but its really hard to take that it always had issues regarding body spare's which was not always available with the Co i really didnt understand why(like same colour body parts) but the 5speed Z was really an eye turner if maintained properly which i guess quite a few have it and keep it just as an asset take a stock treat to ur eyes i always loved the blue & the maroon Z were really different may be these pics help u in some or the other way big bore keep going Z......!!!!!

Dont worry i am not going for any expansion and keeping it stock as i mentioned earlier I am surely going for a disk setup but for a change will be different this time not the pulsar one! The pics of the RXZ posted are fantastic, very neatly restored

Ganesh if you havnt forgotten the first time we had a word i had advised you to use a K&N RC1100 or UNI directly on your "FS"
I will be surely plonking the TM28FS with the UNI after the run-in period, hope it will surely be a great help for you!

@Bigbore - I'm tired of fixing the TM28 with stock airfilter, anyway, I haven't given up. So much of learnings with carbs. I'm laughing at myself that, I've been afraid to touch the carbs these many years & now it has become like a child's play. Anyway, tuning is something that has moved from nightmare to extremely difficult stage now. Hope I learn that some day

For once try removing the stock air filter and do as advised. Its your choice at the end of the day! My best of wishes to you
