Hmm.. I guess Bangaloreans were always smarter than the rest and they realised the value of these bikes even when they were in production !Last edited by yamdoot; 07-28-2011, 10:15 PM.1985 Yamaha RD350 HT

RX-Z 5-Speed in B'lore is the most "In Demand" bike after the RD350. They are priced anywhere between 50 to 60K or even more depending on condition. I still remember the on-road price in Mysore in 2002 was 61K, so practically you are selling the bike for same rate you purchased 10Yrs back!!!!
A normal 135 5-speed sells anywhere between 45-50k & a RX-Z 4-speed range is 40-45k (Totally shagged).
Well thats B'lore & people are willing to pay here. Dont ask about RD350, the prices are crazy. This is exactly the reason the spares for RX & RD have shot up like anything. Everything is sold in black (Over priced) here. But i have to admit one thing, the tremendous passion for 2-strokes out here in B'lore.
Somehow the suzuki 2-strokes couldn't keep up in this rat race. You can get a decent Shogun for less than 20k, beautiful bike, but no resale value.
I think this RX fever will continue for many many years to come by, probably decades.

Very true Karthik, the resale prices for the RXZ 5 Speed and RX135 5 Speed are the same in Mumbai too. And also the sad part is that everything is sold in black (Over priced), especially the OE spares
