      • bhai basanti to bahut chamak rahi hai congrats for the bike and it has really come out wonderfully(touch wood) besides that arun i want to ask you something about the clutch cover and the oil pump what you are using right now in the bike.
1)Thats a 5speed cover, which runs on a small oil pump(saw the pic's of the oil pump & the clutch cover behind a few pages)
2)Currently you are running on a small oil pump,(correct me if i am wrong)
3)I had done this same modification to my RX100 almost a year ago but the poblem i came across was that the clutch cover i got was the same as in the pic here and the same oil pump ok,but when we fixed it the hole where the adjuster of the oil pump goes in was not matching the slot of the oil pump pully(pully means the half round which gets pulled by the cable)
4)The oil pump cable now had become big as we had installed the small oil pump, and was not proper(is there another cable for this oil pump)
5)The wire comming out from the hole was going absolutely cross and was not matching the slot of the pully of the oil pump.
May be its a bit confusing for you to understand or make my self come out as to what i want to say.but i hope you being gone through this will know what my point is
It will be a big favour arun if you help me out with some more pic's after removing the small cover of the oil pump,in two three different directions from front,up and sides,i know i am asking you right off but this was something which i bought after saving and it didnt work out properly and it remained incomplete pls try and help me out thanks and take care

Thanks RX88 I completely understand your problem buddy! What you could have done is drilled another hole on the other side where the adjustor goes in and shut the old hole. Then the cable/pully wouldnt have gone cross. Take it to a good turner and get the new hole drilled and tapped according to the adjuster! Hope you got my point buddy!
Dont mind but i wont be opening up the cover just for pics

Hey Karthik, the tyres are damn good as i tested them on the first day itself as its raining in Mumbai from the last couple of days. The grip on both tyres are excellent! I tried them on concrete/tar as well as a bit of off road! They both costed me Rs.3,600 (Tyre + Tube)
Quality of gripping is on the same lines as of the M45 but these surely look good/muscular as they are more knoby

              Cheers!!

Bike was in bad shape cosmetically as you can see the pics but the engine was very crispy and powerfull. I have started collecting spares for it and expect it to be ready in a months time. Keeping my fingers crossed so that i get all the desired parts i need for the rebuild.

Raj- First would request you to post your introduction in 'Who are you' section.

Congrats for acquiring RXZ! The bought price is justified thinking it is not in bad shape.

There are few things to be taken care before you head towards restoration. This would not even mean technical . Here it goes...

                        1. Identify what you want the bike to be like
                        2. I presume it is 4 speed model. Have you identified whether the barrel is running on standard or oversize.
                        3. Check with mechanic if there is any engine work involved.
                        4. List out the worn parts from your bike and start hunting. Remember RXZ parts are very very hard to come.

Once you have all the required, start with your restoration.

Offcourse, do go through restoration threads on this forum, I'm sure there are's a lot you can learn. I would encourage you to start a new thread and continue your restoration details.

                            Hey Christopher,
The old model 5 speed Rxz magnet covers used to come with the hole that you have currently as i have the same one on my RXG135(5-speed) But with that cover you have to use an old model 135 oil pump. I am suprised how you are using the new pump. The later 5 speed models had the covers which you see in my pics along with the new model small oil pump.
Will be visiting Pune next week dont know about December as i will be having a very busy schedule. Do give a buzz once you are down, will be a pleasure to get in touch with you
