Which tank is this? The bike's tank was white! U have an extra tank too? Wow!
This black one looks in a worse condition than the white one in the first pic.
Money can get a 1942 BSA these days, but even Warren Buffet's whole Bank account can't get us our leg back!

The 5 speed came exclusively in the blue color with the racing flag kinda decal work on it. I was speaking to a friend in yamaha, and he confirmed, that its actually one of the rarest production from yamaha, even more than an RD350 or anything else.

The bike otherwise in 4 speed form ( and front drum brake ), came in white, red and black.

Thanks for the info sir, hence all other colours are non factory standard but purely done out of choice.

The racing blue actually looks killer no second thoughts on that.

                  • ^^ welll its running a 4 speed seat grab rail, gas shocks, 4 speed exhaust, and the front disc is also not the OE that came with the 5 speed ( atleast the one that i have ). The handlebar is changed, the rear foot rest mounting rods are chromed, or painted. The rear rim is smaller, and the top plate of the handlebars is also painted or chromed.

From what i can gather, its a 4 speed, because one primary difference is not there ( The stem length for the handle T is longer in the 5 speed, and there is a extra spacer/washer at the top, where the top plate is mounted. There isnt one in this one.

But i am still curious... This would make an even rarer bike.

Are you worried if yours is a 4-speed or 5-speed? Let me know the chasis number as printed on the crank case.

And why would i be worried about that while discussing colors of a model???

BTW - the chassis number would be on the neck. The engine number would be on the crankcase.
