RXZ 5 Speed
Hey guys posting a few more pictures that i clicked today in the morning even though it was cloudy.
Now talking about the bike, its a complete stock 5 speed setup (5 speed head, 5 speed barrel, new crank & magnet+stator plate) Got the ports polished and RZ reeds plonked in the barrel.
The headlight is a original Rxz (A RARE FIND)
Got the old tank repaired as it was leaking and repainted it.
The alloys, disk brake kit, front fork and front mudguard is from the new gladiator, the mudguard has a real mean look. The alloys also make the bike look more appealing.
Using a 4 speed carb currently as i personally like it better than the 5 speed carb.
The tyres are different this time from the regular front zapper & rear nylogrip plus. I am using Michelin M62 (2.75 x 18) in front & Michelin Sirac Street (3 x 18). They have real good grip on concrete as well as off road, i tested them today in the evening as it was raining very heavily. Most of all the tyres look great on the alloys
The handle is from the shogun with a bar welded, handling is good and goes with the over all look of the Z.
The plastic chain cover is temporary as i will be putting the original full chain cover in a day or two.
The bolts (mostly) used on this beauty are all SS as they dont rust and slip compared to the regular ones. Trust me they really add up to the beauty of the bike
The single bar leg guard is actually my old fork pipe that has been customised for the sporty look. But i will be switching back to stock Rxz leg guard in a few days for added safety!
It took me a month to completely restore the whole bike but trust me the pains and efforts have paid off well
Thats all about my "Z"! Do let me know your opinions about my "Beauty"
Cheers!!

I had a closer look at the engine SS bolts (A.key type).
Painting job has really come out well.

I got to ride the beauty properly tonite.. wow.. cant express the feeling ! the compression is great, initial pickup is superb and the engine is dead silent. The engine is almost stock with the ports polished, intake expanded and a RZ fiber reed valve plonked and RX King clutch plates have been used. Each rebuild keeps getting better and better and it shows. The bike feels as if its just come out of the showroom! The only thing left old on the bike is the chassis and the crankcases. rest everything is brand new.Last edited by yamdoot; 11-23-2010, 01:52 AM.1985 Yamaha RD350 HT
