Restoring a Yamaha RXZ (1997)

    hey big bore till where has the Z reached any updates u being restored ur RX,RXG and even ur shogun not to forget just wanted to ask u is it possible to fix a shogun speedometer(complete set rpm+speedo)on an RX,would be a great if u can help me on this,i like the round meters

      Hey RX88, have been busy with Diwali and work so no updates about the RXZ till now
      A shogun meter console can surely be fitted on the RX but the only thing to be considered problem is the rpm

        not so much consirned about the rpm as long as the speedometer works thats enough,but what about the bracket assembly can it be fixed on the current bracket that of the RX or it will go with the same bracket that of the shogun i am a bit keen to know this as u have a shogun and an RX ur the right guy who can chk both the bikes and put some light on it.I am about to buy a shogun complete speedo just little dicy if it does not set properly then money loss u can understand

          Will surely let you know regarding the consoles if i get some free time as i am busy restoring the RXZ. The Shogun and RX/RXZ brackets are both different and dont have the same fittings

                        pahuch toh bahut aagey gaye hain Arun bhai.. [ waise bhi kaafi pahunchi hui cheez hain woh].. hes waiting for few original old stock spares to arrive so i guess we all wud be seeing the bike in a weeks time when its fully complete.

                          Hi Bigbore All the Best for the Rebulid.. Waiting for the outcome... BTW for how much did you pay for the bike. Even i am planning to buy a RXZ '99 model from a friend, he is selling it for 55k.

                            The picture of the bike looks neat. Is this the one your intend to buy?

                            Check if there is any engine work required and for overall cosmetic outlook for best negotiation.

                              Thanks for the wishes chamu_666 I paid Rs.12,000 for my RXZ.
                              RXZ '99 model for Rs.55,000 Is it in a stock condition or mods done?
                              Bike looks all stock but do check the engine You shouldnt pay more than Rs.16,000 for that RXZ!

                                tell your friend to F O.. max shud be 20k .. its not even a 5 speed!
