        Hey Guys,

I got part of the project done (porting of the old bore). Only the exhoust port has been opened. I surely can see the difference in the pick up but not as much as I was expecting

Wheelie should be effortless that's the end result

I got few of the "nice to be done" things like changing the handle bar, battery, fork pipe and springs, electrical kit, porting as explained above the bill including the labour was about 3.2K

I couldn't get the Gladiator disk setup coz it costs 10K My budget was 6K for new suspension... So I have to get 4K more which will take 2 or so months. In the mean while, I have decided to get the paint job done along with chroming. Will post pics after it's done.

If some one here can please explain what kind of ports you can do on the "bore kit" not the RDD cdi etc...., but what's the power/bhp you can get out only by modifying the bore? Thanks in advance

@Ramkumark: RDD CDI is not a port job,its a after market ignition kit which helps your bike performance better & way ahead of the stock ignition supplied by Yamaha.Porting & Ignition are two different aspects of two stroke.

Also the completely new Gladiator front end from the showrooms does not cost 10k,some where around the 7k+ mark

You just beat my post Arvind, now I've to agree on EVERTHING you said is TRUE including Glad.

Glad setup can be done at a bare minimum of 3K or so

Oops!!! I missed out the discs Sry @Yamdoot
Disc, caliper assy, bearings, hub should cost around 3.5K
bottoms - 3K (not sure on this alone)
Hose, master cylinder, brake lever - K
                Total - 7.5K that's all

Bare minimum as in, I need to have just the Disc plate and nothing else?

When answering that, I'd put the estimate of what I require further rather than setting up the entire assy. I've the entire assy sitting with my except the suspension bottoms. Need to sell or exchange it with someone.

Geee..... thanks mate! I was interested in knowing what all ports can be done on the clyinder. For the above, yes I am very well aware of what RRD CDI is or aftermarket air filter, mods to silencer etc which can be done, to reiterate. The (bore, clyinder, head) what kinds of mods, ports increases the performance?

7.5K Are you guys sure? I asked at the Yamaha showroom in Rajajinagar, the lady said it'll be 10-ish and I came back

                        - Increase compression ratio
                        - Enlarge intake & exhaust ports
                        - Rebore cylinder to maximum extent to fit the largest oversize available
But again, what is that you want?

I've given the breakup already; if you don't believe, ask the breakup from YMIS & post it here.

@Ramkumar: you are running a brand new barrel right,so touching the ports is not a good idea.enjoy the freshly built now & then if you need more juice go for performance mods

also gladi set is for sure at 7k+ just crossed with my supplier.10k is not the right price

                            Hi arvindraju,

It's the old bore kit I got ported. The brand new one is still in the box.

7.5 seems to be ok.... Which supplier are you talking about?

                            Ram.

hey Guys! i urgently need to buy a set of tyres for my RX 100.. Can anyone please suggest me which one (size and company for both front & rear) should i go for?? The confusion is, should i be going for the normal stock kind of tyres or the round profile ones on modern bikes? Any one if tried can share the difference felt..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

@ metalm .. MRF nylogrip front and rear perform well. If you have a drum at front there are a lot of ribbed ones available to keep the stock look.
