Longest i have done on a RX100 was Chennai - Pondicherry - Chennai - a few years ago - totaling over 300 kilometers

Had a lot of breaks - average speed was around 80 KMPH

Problems - Oil Leak / Engine Over heat

It was strange when smoke started coming out of the engine - and it was raining harsh that time..

Average mileage around 30 KMPL

Well i drove my MaxR from CHennai to pondy and pondy to chidambaram
then back to chennai totally some 800 KMS one - and one time i did a non stop 200km and above trip in it to near by pondy
THe max speed is only 80 on my maxr and i user to swing in 80 all the time


She gave me around 40 while ripping like that and in city she gave me around 40 ---- she was a nice one and teached me all the skill of biking
I really miss her days

But yes there are times - for everything - im happy with my flame now

well aditya durin the trip the bike gave me no problems because then it had just come back from a complete overhaul. but regular maintainence is an issue with the RD, but i must say all the pains do have some fantastic rewards

All of your trips must've been sweet!!!I mean going on open roads having a 2 stroke do what it was built to do....It all sounds so perfect at WOT.

sweet no-no, Heavenly is more the word, and somehow i just love smellin like petrol and 2-stroke exhaust after a ride, call me crazy but i just do

Rx100-1991-Blore to Manipal- 414KMs..... Thtas the longest I did.

did a non stop, no breaks ride from mumbai to amby valley lonavla..rode the bike so hard that the fork seals were bust, and so was my backside :P..but the bike wouldn't give up..put my friend's unicorn to shame with resp to reliability...no overheating, no hiccups, nothing...and oh yea this was my "RD350" [also referred to the garage queen]..LOL

Total round trip: 354.02km
Avg Speed: 69.42kph
Ride Time : 05:01:29
Max Speed: 124.20kph

onCouple of weeks ago did a Chennai-Pondicherry-Chennai trip of about 330-340 kms in one day with a pillion on my RX135, 4-speed, cat con. Left early morning, the day was cloudy and quite humid. Mostly maintained speeds of 80 km/hr. But after leaving Pondy, had speeds of 100-110 for more than 80 kms!

Was pretty scared if something will happen to the engine! Had done a piston change last year...oil pump had conked up then!

Bike gave a mileage of 31 kmpl...sadly it has decreased from the 40s it was previously giving with stock piston... The oil setting has been increased...and the bike's drinking a lot of oil! I guess that saved the engine from overheating, absolutely no problems on the ride!

Planning to go to B'lore on 1st june...modify the bike there...and then to Kozhikode! So will total about 800 kms!

dude how in the world could you manage to do Manipal-Bangalore in just 6 hrs??

Did many times Agra - Delhi - Agra around 400kms single day trip while doing my graduation and also Did Agra - Lucknow once around 370kms took around 7 hrs with several stops and few small glitches.... my RX never complained she is my sweetheart....

Lately my RX did 100000kms on her ODO, so as to pay her tribute went for a Delhi-Agra-Delhi trip on 12th April.... with some fellow bikers and she was smiling all broad even after coming back... now she is closing another 1000kms on her ODO

UPDATE - Did Delhi - Lucknow more than couple of times in last 3yrs i.e. 590kms (NH2), also did Delhi - Tarkeshwar - Delhi on 1st Jan, 2010 approx. 600kms

Dehradun-Hisar-Delhi-Dehradun on a Hero Puch Shakti 3G.1999 June 1st week , 600-700 kms trip

Classic 2 Stroker long run..

have done 1,25,000 plus on my 1976 yezdi 250.

Longest i believe was the Mumbai - Pen - Raigad - Rajapur - Sawantwadi - Mapusa - Panjim - Mapusa - Sawantwadi - Radhanagri - Kolhapur - Karad - Satara - Pune - Lonavla - Mumbai..round run in MONSOONS !!..UNbearable Rains...but was FUN..

My experience on my RX-135

Am a proud owner of Yamaha RX-135 2000 model, have clocked close to about 80,000 kms till date... Had done hell number of long drives and people used to get shocked at my ventures on a 2 stroke... Since i used to start my drives early in the morning, there wasn't much of a problem when it was not so hot... As the temperature increases, it'd be slightly difficult to drive, and the vibrations also were slightly more compared to 4 strokes, hence it was a bit strainous, nevertheless, the sweet sound of engine would make me go crazy ...

Here goes my list of long drives on my RX-135... In all the following rides, i sat either as rider / pillion only on my RX and not on any other machines

Pre-digital camera period (Managed with a kodak film camera)

1. Bangalore - Hyderabad. {This was my first long drive and was really crazy to do about 600+ kms drive in the last week of April 2005. One bike, 2 guys, shared the ride all the way. It was the itch that we'd decided to do it at any cost and we did it successfully , left at 5 AM from Bangalore, reached Hyd at 6:30 PM, had boils on my a** due to heat and wasn't even able to sit for 2-3 days }
2. Bangalore - Hassan - Shiradi - Dharmasthala - Charmudi - Mudigere - Hassan - Bangalore (Done during June 2005 with same friend who made it to Hyd, just when monsoon had just started and should say it was an amazing experience to drive in rain. Shirad ghats was just too good when we made this trip... Inspite of rain, i was able to maintain good speeds throughout the journey. In all about 700 kms of pure fun in 2 days).
3. Bangalore - Shivanasamudram - Kollegal - BR Hills - K.Gudi - Chamrajanagar - Mysore - Bangalore. (Done during July 2005 with the same guy, it was an amazing drive through the jungles. About 500 kms in 2 days. Since Veerappan used to rule during that time, we were hell scared if we encounter him and had our own plans how to combat with him if at all he comes across ).
4. Bangalore - Shimoga - Sagara - Jog Falls - Honnavara - Gokarna - Sirsi - Unchalli Falls - Sagara - Shimoga - Bangalore. (Done during Aug 15th weekend of 2005. 3 guys, 2 bikes, 1 RX 135, 1 Splendor + , covering about 1200+ kms in 3 days... Since it was during mid-monsoon, it was raining all the while, sheer fun to drive in the ghats... The stretch of about 70 kms between Jog Falls to Honnavar is the most scenic route i've travelled on bike till date

5. Bangalore - Hassan - Dharmasthala - Charmudi - Kalasa - Hornadu - Kudremukh - Sringeri - Chickmagalur - Hassan - Bangalore (Done with my younger bro during Dec 2005, about 1200+ kms done in 4 days, with almost 2 full days in the midst of Chickmagalur / Shimoga districts, with full of tea / coffee estates, ghat section etc...)
6. Bangalore - Sirsi - Yana - Ankola (Lost way and reached Ankola instead of reaching Kumta), Kundapur, Murudeshwar, Marvanthe - Udupi - Mangalore - Sakleshpura - Bangalore (Done during Jan 26th 2006 long weekend. 6 guys, 3 bikes, my RX, Splendor +, TVS Centra . Should say, the route was almost a right-angled triangle, about 1400 kms covered in 4 days... This ride was a blend of ghats, mountains, off-roading, western express highway, beach & what not . 7. Bangalore - Mysore - BR Hills - K.Gudi - Chamrajanagara - Gundulpet - Gopalswamy Betta - Nanjangud - Mysore - Bangalore. { Done during June 2006, 4 guyz, 2 bikes, my RX, P-150 DTSi-Ver 2... Since the monsoon had started, it was greenery all around and it was just too good to drive on the empty stretches in the jungle }

Met with a terrible accident during Aug 2006, wasn't allowed to even touch the bike for next 3 months... Took off from long drives for a good period to start it again during Oct 2008 (After almost 2 long years ), but this time to attend 'Mysore Dasara'.

8. Bangalore - Mysore - Nanjangud - Gopalswamy Betta - Mysore - Bangalore... {It was a super-fast trip and my first solo trip (was always accompanied by a pillion in all my earlier drives). I could feel the symptoms of my accident during the trip and i strongly felt that i can't do anymore trips on my RX as my body wasn't able to sustain it... Time for an upgrade and also do only solo drives, bought myself a Honda Unicorn GP Edition, and have started my long drives again }

Mumbai - Goa - Bangalore and back...Approx 2600 Kms on my '95 Yezdi Roadking

Longest ride for me was on my RX 135 which I bought from a friend in Hyderabad, and rode it down to Bangalore a total of about 650 kilometers done in 10 hours flat, with only fuel breaks. Nothing else.

Non stop ride. No reliability issues, the bike was still going as strong as ever.
