I'll let Sriram answer this one, rather than you hear from me as he's the one who's experiencing both of them recently.
I have experienced both premix and autolube on my RX. In fact, there is hardly any difference. The reason why I would have argued siding autolube, is that because, we do not have to carry 2T oil during the ride fearing what gas station provides is genuine. Off course, I do not regret using premix because, I'm 200% confident that barrel is fed with petrol and oil.
Little insight on taking RX for long ride. Aargee did some 800 odd kms on RX during 2010 TSG2G and guess what? Zero issues!
As he said, you should know your machine in and out to do some trouble shooting incase. Though it is not problem to take it for a long rides, however, it cannot be compared with 4 stroke's capacity.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

You have all the time to experiment with autolube before you do some long ride. However, strongly suggest you to go premix during long ride.Originally posted by dpak89 View Posthmmm...so once for a change i will test my bike on autolube and check whether it is workin or not!! :PRX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

i am just posting some of the tips i heard from some friends who have used rx for rides!!
take a spare Spark plug
check the sprockets for its condition
though fork dont give problems usually ...for long rides its expected to be in good condition for a smooth ride and better control!!!
other checks are all discussed before!! hope these contribute some points for this topic!!

my rx has gone for its first long ride yesterday!!! and all i can say about its performance was awesome!!! I dint expect it to do a long ride smoothly!! despite having a block or some problem in carb it went on and on!!! i think i got a good mileage of about 35 since i traveled about 190kms with 8 liters of gas!! and still it dint reach reserve!! so i think my calc is rite!! my bike used to give a 30 km /l usually in city!! now i am trying to find the problem in my carb!!

But 190/8 = 23 Kmpl isn't it?
Do a reserve to reserve calculation (that I've been missing till this date)

yea have to do it!! if it is in reserve i can only hear the splashing sound of fuel when the bike is shaken and cant really see the fuelOriginally posted by aargee View PostBut 190/8 = 23 Kmpl isn't it?

.....but now i can see the fuel as well as hear it ......so i hope it is about 2 ltrs in there
..anyway today i am going to check my carb for that stuttering problem!! so a that time i will drain the fuel fully to know the exact amount left in there!!!

Good idea. But ensure that you do it immediately when you hit reserve.Originally posted by dpak89 View Postso a that time i will drain the fuel fully to know the exact amount left in there!!!Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

yep!! i will drain, keeping the tap in "ON" then-after in "RES"..so i hope i can exactly know the amount it can hold in each positions...Originally posted by aargee View PostGood idea. But ensure that you do it immediately when you hit reserve.

my tank has a reserve of ~1.3-1.5ltrs !!! i checked it yesterday!! though i din have a measuring equipments !! jus an approximate calc based on the quantity present in a 2 ltr pepsi bottle after draining fuel from tankOriginally posted by aargee View PostGood idea. the problem was not because of carb!! it was the CDI unit who was the culprit!! i changed it now!! its smooth as it was before, though i feel i have lost pick-up a bit!! i also changed my silencer core(before i was using a cut-core to give a distinct beat). so now my 5s is giving very less noise!!as i have cleaned the carbs myself sometimes the bike goes OFF when i engage clutch for brakingOriginally posted by dpak89 View Postmy rx has gone for its first long ride yesterday!!! and all i can say about its performance was awesome!!! ( speed-bump ....etc!! )..have to rectify it before i go for the ISG2G!!
