    Rx100

    1. we first changed the clutch plate
    2. we then gave it for partial port
    3. we then fixed a power box to it
    4. we changed the sporket to RXZ ones
    5. changed the reed valve to proton reed valve
    6. and just bought a irradium spark plug which needs to be fixed.

now today morning over the same ride it took off to 30 at 1 gear, 65 second and 90 at third and was unable to pull it more and try 4th as was with other vehicles and the road was crowded. bike is now producing a very good sound and has got very high power which gives a jerk but after certain speed.

how can i get a better intial pickup and how can my max speed put up to 120?

Hi,Good going thread. What is a power box? What are the after effects?Even i have a Rx100 fitted with proton EC.I don't want to start a top speed war here. But as APJ Kalam said dreaming is good if you dream then only you can achieve your goals.So,120 on RX100No big deal.I have a article from overdrive regarding RD's 220kmph.So why not 120kmph on Rx100.I strongly believe that It's capable of doing much more than that. And yes i have changed the rear sprocket to that of RXz having 37 teeth.

RXZ never came with 37. It was RXG which came with 15/37 sprocket.

Thanks buddy for your comments, however i need to check the exact specifications about the sprocket.

And the power box was got by my mechanic and installed.

          @PlayBoy

Why do you want 120 speed on a RX-100? why not go for newer generation bikes which will give you kind off speed (just my opinion)

In my opinion even if by any chance the bike has to reach 120 speed, then engine will be strained as there are only 4 gears.

Also please highlight the benefits of power box and how much did it cost you?

I have an RX-100 with iridium spark plugs and my bike does approx 95-100 km. Couldnt pull or even tried to go beyond that due to mumbai traffic.

If you opting for disc brakes then fo for Yamaha Gladiator ones (as per posted in one of the posts, its a direct fit) experts please advise on this.

Your fuel efficiency is pathetic right now. Waiting on what experts/ seniors have to advise.

Let me know if you go for the disc brakes (even i want to fit one)
I am not able to dedicate my time to my baby (rx-100) as i work offshore.

All the best with your work maan.

Hi daredemon, I do not want to regularly accelerate at 110/120 its basically to give a tough ride to others as an when required.

And I do have a RE 350 1980 model which I love to ride its only that all of a sudden I am getting back to my college days of riding the RX machine at the top most speed.

The Power box with pipe and manifol of RXG 135 costs around RS. 250/-

Also I would suggest you to kindly brief about the mods done by you on your machine so that the experts can give some valuable suggestion, which in turn help all are RX members.

Now it's day 2 for my bikes painting work. hope to click snaps and post it soon.

Strongly agree with you. One cannot buy a Donkey, feed an Elephant's diet to make it run like a Horse . Sry if this sounds offending, but wait until you hear it from others

Comment what? Its a direct fit & one SHOULD consider opting for it.

If you're working onsite, yes, quite understandable. When you're working offshore (India), then what's the problem? Work load?

Okay have you ever noticed there is a pipe starting from a RXG/RX135/RXZ manifold and goes under the petrol tank. This pipe is connecting the manifold to a small black box tucked under the tank called the power box. See what happens is when the AFMixture is travelling from the carb to the ignition chamber through the reed it is sort of travelling in pulses. This box it acts as a buffer and stores the charge. It dramatically improves your low end by doubling the pulse

                    nice description bro^^,
but it may have different kinda effect based on setup or the size of boost bottle etc. it may smooth the lower end, can lead to a few kmph more if setup is correct.in some cases bike can show idle problem if removed...
personal experience, found it pretty useless on 100cc.

Bro i have a Shaolin ur point is pretty interesting too, espcisally on the different size having different effect point, besides my personal experience after removing the box was terrible on the Shaolin, the engine would just not respond how it should or previosly would. . .anyway its back on now and all fine. . .

hahaha yes! Where the like button at!?!?

But there's no harm in trying as it costs almost 200 bugs I read somewhere that even the length of the resonator pipe plays a major role in what benefits you can reap out of boost box.

Ya length does play a difference.. . .

OK. THanks man.that's how you differentiate a RXG or RX135 from Rx100 if found without stickers Should i give a try to power box? What do i need to buy?resonator, manifold and pipe?? It's there in shogun as well googled it.So, what are the after effects of powerbox on rx100?

Sorryy.I meant rxg only with 37 rear sprocket.first i tried 15-34 then 15-37 then 16-37 right now i have installed front rx100 sprocket and 37 rear. It's the best combination for me.What is the maximum rpm that rx100 can achieve in 4 gear?.I have rxz RPM meter installed. But mine does till 6500 Max

You'll need 5 gears + 16/34 combination to exceed from the current top speed at the cost of slight acceleration.
