IIRC, the Rx100 that I'd during 99 (96/97 last batch) had a chain inspection window on the top. But the recent one that I bought (new) has the chain inspection window at the bottom. So there's quite a chance that there's a mix & match combination. What would've happened is, the lower part of the chain guard would've rusted to core, due to which the previous owner would've bought a new one or picked up another old one that would've probably belonged to the recent batch.
Absolutely right Ganesh The top chain guard part is from the RX100 and the lower from the latest RX spares.

Today was a wonderful day as I saw the mariner rising from the ashes. As I reached the workshop, I was still on my 220 and saw a bright white thing shining at a distance. To my utter surprise, it was the tail section of the Z and it took no time for a grin to appear on my face, hidden beneath the chrome visor of the matching LS2. Immediately a nod of approval was gestured to the mechanic and the return was whole heartedlly accepted by me.

On taking a closer look, I discovered that the rear tire was also fixed, the metal plated beneath the meters was also fixed up by the time I reached. Slowly and gradually, side stand, carburetor, shockers after getting new lube, and the front tier were fixed. This brought the bike one step closer to the complete restoration and I could see her standing on her own feet!

Wanted the mechanic to work double the speed and complete as much of the work as possible, however, I controlled my senses and kept the calm.

Clicked the following pics to add to the kitty of restoration of this legend.

Now, can someone tell me something about the rim...it says RX100, however, the company marked there is not known to many. any clarifications?

also, I wanted to fit FZ handle bar, is it possible? If yes, how?

Along with that, I asked about Pulsar 220 horns, I guess the horns say 2A...is it? If so, can they be fitted as a pair?

Aww.. the mech didnt even care to remove the chain guard rubber and the fork boots. Hows the engine painted? Did he take everything apart ? Dont you plan to put some stickers on the bike?

Congrats, at last you got those required spares
Please change the front shock rubber boots. It just spoils the overall look.
One more thing, Find those missing engine rubber dampers and fit them back or get a new set
Most of the guys neglect those or let them painted in silver

That rim I think is a local one. OE ones were made by MANDAP. I could be wrong also

I am currently using Pulsar (MINDA) horns on my RX135 without any mods or relay. Works good. Battery is Exide, though no idea about its output but its of the stock size, fits in the battery compartment.

                    All the best

Ya! That looked a bit awkward even to me. But its actually good. That would give me a chance to experiment with the parts and colors. Maybe I can paint them on my own!

As far as the stickers are concerned, it would be a combination of blue and a couple of shades lighter than that.

Well, my questions still remain unanswered

                        Didn't get the question completely

I'd answered this; let me know if you didn't understand or any specifics.

Didn't understand this clearly. But I assume you want to fit 2 X 2A horns. If that is the case, yes it is possible BUT do it with a relay & RELAY only. It might work for now, but will take a hit on your battery on long terms.

Whoaaaaaa ..... now that was some restoration ...... man, you have to bring it at dhaba or meet me in person, i want to have a very close look at your bike ....

regarding fz handle bar - you can put it, but the thing is, they are way to broad acc. to rxz needs, and you can't fit those side caps (dunno the original name) after fitting grips, and then it looks awkward, man, i was also in process to get one, but, at last got genuine rx 100 handle bar, and swear by god, it looks much cooler than that one ...

                          p.s - get r15's clip on's ...

                            +1 to Prakhararya.

Ok, I just got to the basement to compare and FZ & Rx & here's my preliminary understanding...
                            - The handle bar dia of FZ is more than Rx. This means, on a stock RX, there's going to be some gaps when fitting it on the crown handle & handle holders
                            - Next, it was quite surprising to see that the width between clutch lever holder to throttle lever holder (yoke in local terms) is widthier in Rx compared to FZ. This means that the stock clutch cable & throttle cables will be hanging a little loose.

There're much more thoughts on these lines, but let me know if these are not convincing for your RB_Stamp & I'll be glad to discuss (confuse) you more

Ha ha ha...enough of confusion. would settle down for the stock handle only

Meanwhile, take a look at the following link and let me know if I need to change the gear leaver as the kind of play that it has seems to be more than what it should be.
