    Wow aint she a beauty?

I just love the Yezdi Roadking, its looks, its lovely gearshift cum kick (how Innovative).

And nothing can beat its twin exhaust and its exhaust note!

How I wish I could own a new one. Sadly the factory in Mysore closed down some 4 years back!

BTW. U can see some similarities with the 350 here...
2003 Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i (first gen, spoked 18" wheels)
    2005 Ford Fusion+
    2006 Bajaj Wave 110 DTS-i

      hi glifford,
the yezdi has other innovative features as well. the front and rear tyre(along with wheel) could be interchanged. And I guess its the only bike which can hold a spare wheel (in front of the engine).

Exactly..V12, Was about to post bout the tyres as well.

My dad used to rally with these machines in his younger days. He had them in succession. Earlier the Java ones and then it became Yezdi! Sadly by the time I was born... he had 'sobered down' and had moved to scooters for his 2 wheeler transport! SO never got to ride one.

Yes the cruiser like angle of the front forks allows a tyre (with spokes and hub) to be mounted in front of the engine. Even saw one... remembered what my dad used to tell me.

The exhaust note is so cool. Has a strange RUMBLE to it. And the slow leisurly RPM is also great. Wish I can get my hands at one sometime in future!

They also had a toned down 175 CC version of the roadking. Can't remember what it is called. I remember seeing the back page ads in the 'IndianAuto' magazine as a kid. Guess it never took off in the onslaught of the indo jap craze

Guys that was a grt bike of all time, such an innovative bike with some unique features like wheels can be interchanged, it is the first bike to have kicker cum gear shifter, auto clutch, such a grt feature,

The gearshifter can be used as clutch, engaging the first gear and relase the shifter slowly like a car, it also having two point starter
one with mageneto current and another one is from battery current, from battery current the bike can be ealily star with just a push of a kicker, the current will flow up to 3 inchs from direct current, My friend is an jawa mechanic he was modified a lot of jawa and yezdi's,
he modified the bikes like HD, and some like custom bikes, he even run the bikes with kerosin oil, the bike is capable of run on that fuel also. man such an awesome bike .

Another bike which had a spare wheel was the Rajdoot GTS 175,also known as 'Bobby bike' (It was featured in the old hindi flick called bobby). The bike is a small bike with a 175cc engine and an excellent exhaust(have u seen the shape.. its really kool)That bike used to do lotta wheelies,it was around 120kgs i guess. My dad had that bike,i still have the manual wid me will hunt it down and let u guys know the specs of the bike.it had kick on LHS side.

I hear the Yezdi even had reverse gear on early models , my father's colleague accidentally hit reverse once while kicking the bike to life and dropped it .
Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on.

Amar, I heard that this bike shares many parts with the yezdi roadking. Can you please confirm that from your friend? Actually want to add one to my stable after I return to India.
