sorry for hijacking the post but waited for this tip from the experts

After splitting the crankcase & cleaning up found out that the crankcase still has the Labyrinth metal seal & bearing which has checkoslavakia on it ( I have spelled it wrong for sure) want to replace the old bearing , the mech says as we cant source the metal "L "seal lets replace it with rubber one ,

so asking the members here is this advisable or should I use the metal L seal-back again after replacing the new bearing ?

Guys, posting this on behalf of a friend. This bike has been in storage for a long time ( though the condition does give away that the storage was not good ). But according to the owner, is stock, done about 6000 kms or so. What would be a good price for this bike? Genuine advise please, since the person is in need, and would like to sell it to make some money.

Ill be putting up some more bikes as well, a RD, a BSA, couple of RX100s and a RXZ etc. So keep watching the respective threads.

This bike is with a very nice gentleman, I know who is that
Are you sure he want to part off with this bike because he usually never sell his stuff at any cost.

                  Yamdoot, I live in Delhi.

And in 1996 I went to my first AutoExpo. My granpa, dad and I were walking out of the hall that had all the concepts on display. And we passed the Indian motorcycle stalls. I saw the KB125, Yamaha RXG...even the Suzuki Max100R. Then there was what I think was a car modifyers stall and there I saw a contessa classic limousine.

But right next to that was the Yezdi stall. It was outdoors and had a white backdrop with the red Yezdi logo. There were just 2 people in that stall. That's where I saw 2 Yezdi's and a red 593 which I guess was just a concept, a dream...it was never going to built the man told me. I asked him why and he just shrugged. I recall the second man who was much older had a sad look on his face and was almost in tears. No one else was at their stall and no one had visited all day. What a sad way for an iconic brand to die. My heart gets pulled when I think about that day.

I guess they knew it was a different world and it was going green and they didn't stand a chance against the 4 stroke barrage that was going to strike.

Btw, those were the first brand new Yezdi's I had ever seen! I think they were Roadkings...
