Ravimyfriend you can maintain / get spares for an RD but not for the y-350 these days. Only if you have some Czech contacts....

btw there is the AVL 350 Bullet and the new 350 Uce bullet too.

The green Jawa 350 i was talking about:

Couple of Rare Jawa 350s. Rightmost is a complete Czechoslovakia import whereas the middle one is imported as parts from CZ but assembled in India. Rumoured to be having 30+ BHP for both bikes. Leftmost is the 250cc motocross version with chambers.

Wow! Those are some beauties. I love the sound of the 350.. and ever since i was a kid the most attractive part i find of the y350 is the silencers and the front drum.

Wish Yezdi was still alive.. Sadly people realize the value of persons only when they are gone forever..

Have something extremely rare on my Y350 ...

A conical rear drum ... exactly like the front one ,

EXCEPT that the front in twin leading, the rear is single leading!!!

                  Check the pics ..

I have Owned the Rightmost Jawa 350 too.. Its a Type 638 Twin Sports. Its gearing is One Down 3 Up unlike the yezdi 350(also Previously owned), The Jawa 350 is butter smooth compared to Y350, also the Sounds are completely Different.
The TS 350 has a Three Phase Alternator which is very Similar to a Maruti 800's one. so I had to source out a Maruti 800's Rectifier and the Cutout for it. Had a Good learning Experience on its electricals But all Paid off and it ran like a Dream. Unfortunately i had to sell it out due to Parking space crunch
Also Y350 sounds like two Roadkings running together, whereas Jawa 350 TS sounds more like an RD 350 or a Foreign Bike, And i would Like to also mention that J350 TS were 26 BHP and not 30, The Currently available Jawa 350s(available abroad)make close to 30 BHP. Its obvious more an more R&D has gone into it.

Not a expert though.......pour 170ml for each fork unit!!
BTW, don't use "fork oil" which is sold for this Telescopic forks, as your jawa fork inner set up & current aged components, will lead to leakage & very soft dampening, which wont last long ....
So mechanics use 20W /40 or 15w/50 engine oil for JAWA category forks......I recommend you to mix " Hydrol 68 & 2 T oil " mix in 1:1 ratio, which I feel idle for our JAWA babies .
Hydrol 68: - Is a Industrial Oil, it is equivalent to " System 68" by SERVO, which is a Indian Oil product !!

PS: Will seem OFF TOPIC, most of our mechanics, prefer 1/4 ( Quarter bottle) than a calibrated MEASURING FLASK.....'coz think Full volume of that QUARTER is 175 ml , I guess!!
