  • Yamaha Rx 135 4 speed -> Exhaust smoke is leaking from bend pipe joint near silencer nut.

I inspected the nut and gasket inside it. The gasket had a crack. I replaced the gasket. It stopped leaking smoke.

Now after a month , smoke started coming through the silencer nut again.

Members kindly suggest some solutions. Thanks.

    • Hi guys.
my Rx100 has noticeable vibration and noise in idling and while running but the noise and vibration seems to go off when the clutch is engaged. Can someone help find what the problem is?

      • Hello People, I recently had a seizure in my Yamaha RX100. It has a G3 cylinder.

Now I am considering a new cylinder kit for safety and purchasing a new, better sleeve for the existing bore. It already has a sleeve. I am thinking of a better sleeve.

Regarding the cylinder kit, this is something I came upon http://theonecustom.com/product/yama...ade-in-taiwan/. They claim that it is imported from Taiwan. Can someone give their input on this please?

Could you please suggest a good sleeve that will perform and last well (provided the maintenance is good)?

        • Fellow Smoggers,

What is the correct procedure to break in a freshly rebuilt 2 stroke engine?

I have just had my rx100's engine rebuilt. My mechanic had it running at idle for around 10 minutes with occasional throttle and then handed it to me saying that I had to ride it at 40-50kms speed range for 1k kms with 50ml/litre engine oil.

The following work has been done -
-Cylinder rebored(to the last size) as there was literally no compression, low pick up and piston slapp noise. -All bearings, oil seals, engine screws, and packings changed. -Crank had to be rebuilt, because, while taking it out, my mechanic hammered it hard and the crank shaft got bent at the magnet side. 😥😡
-No clutch work as there was little to no play.

          Thanks,
          Shahul
