          True.
Strict emission norms was also a reason.
TVS dropped the plan for Shadow and brought Suzuki Fiero eventually.

Its very sad. The sader fact is while in other parts of the world the 2t bikes are still respected and regarded as classics, the indian biking scenario, specially the youth, arent even aware of these dragons and are often disrespectful in defence of their 4t bikes.

Very sad to see that none of the two wheeler companies wants to produce 2strokes anymore, not even wanting to look in that direction, a proper biker will always respect a bike no matter what there stroke is.

Here's my handsome RTZ. Just restored it, doing all work at home (balcony and lift lobby to be precise).
(except tank/shield painting and front forks inner tubes change)
It is from 1995, that makes it 19 years old today.

The standout characteristics of the RTZ is its reliability, ruggedness and safety.
Starts within a few kicks even after standing for 2 years. Ride on without 2T, busted forks, triple seated, and it will make the trip.
Good brakes, stability, bright lamps, loud horn would be a boon on long trips and would almost always be the group's lead rider post dusk.
Those days, I was in Pune, we would race from Dighi to FC/MG Road, a distance of about 14 km through city. And never did another bike win from this bad boy, until ofcourse a couple of BOSSes joined our group.
Which brings me to my next hobby project - how easy is it to get the BOSS spares in Blore ? Am sure easier than KB100, but not sure.

Lovely looking kb brother. For shogun spares contact mr. Venkatesh gb. He has a lot of running items in stock and is the most reasonable seller of 2t spares in India.

Recently done up CBZ Classic. Couldn't find all the OE fiber items in the same color. Hence the multi-colored look. She is still due for paint.
