You sure are a lucky soul. Keep us updated with your experience with her. Here down south, It is extremely rare to get a complete bike (any condition) let alone a very well maintained one like yours.Originally posted by rxfan View PostI paid 12k for it

This shogun was a friends so i could still trust it to be of some worth ..my mechanic says there are probably only 4-5 shoguns in my city left. but one can find a lot of shogun spares in the scrap market as most of the shoguns have sold to scrap market
..i found a very good condition 2T oil tank there as the existing one was leaking, will also be gong for a meter set i found there in a very good condition
for future sake

Did you chrome plated the silencer or changed it?? The bike looks good.Originally posted by vinodnarayan View Post
Hi all, My first post here in xBHP Pic of my '97 gun. It still dorns the original factory paint job, with minor blemishes here and there. Most of my saturdays is spent in pampering her, no wonder my wife gets upset and tad bit jealous

Thanks for the compliments on the ‘gun.
I changed the silencer to an aftermarket one (think this one is meant for MAX100 or 'RAI). I still have the original non catcon silencer; the core needs to be de-carbed and needs glass-wool packing. So have disassembled and kept it for cleaning and salvaging. Planning on getting it refurbished but tied down with other commitments now. Any tips on how the smudges and dents on the silencer can be removed? There is one nasty dent near the U Bend on the original silencer.

I have read about various methods, right from making a hole on the opposite side and straightening the dent to hydro forming. Have seen some YouTube video in which, water is filled and deep freezed. So that the dent gets straighten. Take it to a competent tinker and enquire about various ideas.Originally posted by vinodnarayan View PostAny tips on how the smudges and dents on the silencer can be removed? Thanks rxmoke. Yes, I do see some people staring at the RX at signals. It gives a joy inside to be an owner of one such cult bike.Originally posted by rxsmoke View PostSir,,Both the bikes are stunning.Im pretty sure you get a lot of attention when your riding these Strokers!!.Im curious about the saree gaurd on the rx100?..is it OE or Custom??
Regarding the saree guard.. I don't have any idea.. The RX100 is my friend's. I need to ask him about it.

Experts, I need some inputs regarding the rear suspension.
I am using my RX135 for daily commute to office. I felt that the OE suspension was a bit hard and so I changed the rear shock absorbers to SNS type. I have set it to the softest setting. Though it is better compared to the original one, I still feel that the suspension is a bit hard. My mechanic says that I should change the seat to OE type(currently the seat is of bucket type) and also change the angle of suspension to get a better ride. I don't want to spend money on seat and the labour on changing the angle of the suspension and finally end up having same kind of ride quality.
Can you guys please share your ideas on this? Would it be really worth changing the shocks angle? Any other suggestions to improve the ride comfort?--I STOP ON RED--

A well maintained RX,Originally posted by samcan123 View PostThanks rxmoke. Yes, I do see some people staring at the RX at signals. It gives a joy inside to be an owner of one such cult bike.
especially one with discs gets more stares, than a Duke 390
. Where ever I go, I get a lot of questions.
If you daily commute is less, its better you leave it like that. Fiddling with suspension can result in bad handling of the bike. Can you guys please share your ideas on this? Would it be really worth changing the shocks angle? Any other suggestions to improve the ride comfort?
How will you change the angle?? You may have to do some welding jobs.
PS. This is a picture thread for 2 Strokes. Please post your future questions http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/showthread.php?t=25622 ] here[/URL]
