    fastest RD

Isn't the DAM Racing RD 350 from Bangalore the fastest RD 350 in India doing something close to 12 or 13 seconds?

My dear Praveen, please read my first post carefully. This is a rebuild thread & the idea is to build the fastest RD in India in Drag racing scene.

Currently Anthony of DAM motors & Nisar of NMW are the front runners in India.

By the way, did you have a look at the timing done by RD350s in the recent coimbatore drags!!! Even an RX135 could have beaten these with ease!!!!! So do you feel beating these RDs with another RD is a difficult job?

"Only an RD can beat another RD" doesn't hold good too much in Indian scene anymore, a fully blown RX135 can beat it with ease. Has been done a number of times. And we are talking a fully blown RD350 here.

      Check the attachment for details.

I am interested in knowing if you are going to make any changes to the gear box cause I know the original set do not shift at high RPMs.

Some sweet info here. Dude I what I'm about to say is dumb, but those 135's have only 4-5 secs on the R1.

What the heck are they having for breakfast???????

Seriously cool stuff. Never knew RX's had that much potential.

Never seen 2 strokes with that much potential either...think I have to start getting out more often!

They eat Aviation fuel for Breakfast, lunch & Dinner. But thats not the only thing, its majorly due to Porting, matching exhaust & most importantly the Ignition (CDI).

Many more years to go my friend. To beat an RD with these modern day 4-jokes with 250cc capacity will be a tough job. Build an RD right from scratch (with OE or racing parts) & with some porting & exhausts, the timing will further go down.

This is of the 2nd O/S Sriram, the Standard ones are 64.00 the same ones that RD 400 also uses..! Just the rings are different for both...! Also If one gets Wiseco's he should be ready for the rattle. I've heard Wiseco's working on RD's and the initial cold start is unberable but when the heat comes in the piston expands making it much smoother. Wiseco's are a different breed altogether and they have upto 8 O/s's

Thanks Sriram. RD350 STD size piston dia is 64mm & as per wiesco catalouge, the upsize piston increment is with a figure of +0.5mm only, all the way uptil 2.0mm. Hence it is 1st O/S if we are going by this catalouge.

Whereas the original ART piston came in +0.25mm & +0.5mm sizes too. So in that case it would be 2nd O/S. LOL.

Anyways, we are not using STD size & the displacement will now be 353CC instead of 348CC.

Yes, they dont give +0.25mm increment in air-cooled ones because of higher clearances recommened by Wiesco.

Yes, the sound is un-bearable (more like mixer grinder LOL), but once she has expanded, the sound, the performance, man i can think of only one word:

                              "ORGASMIC"

Note: 10 Sizes are available for RZ350 alone (including STD size) from Wiesco , that also can be used on RD350. But we using that of RD350 AC.
