  • Quest for the perfect shogun

I have a shogun 94 model.its slightly moded.it has a)extended pulsar front end with disc. b) fiero fx swingarm c) standard block piston kit. d)16-rear wheel e) pulsar shock-rear, f)motocross handles.its been 5 years and now i want to do my bike again-THIS TIME FULL PROFESSIONALLY.
Following are the things that i wish to do-a)longest and strongest front suspensions.-how bout a avenger one?
B)19 inch front wheel c)17 inch rear wheel
d)renthal handles e)brightest headlamp possible, keeping the stock look intact. f)brand new engine with single stage porting.g)good and loud expansion-by dtw. h)rear discs i)racing footpegs j)rear suspensions-at par with the front one.k)custom paint job. L)5speed transmission
Though i have the opurtunity to get suspensions from rm125 bike,i want to use only indian components.so gentlemen i need your advice in all the afore said fields.who can do such a job in bangalore?i want my revamped shogun to be atpar with the mystic shogun shadow, a bike that i rode 2wice, lusted forever, but could never own.the exhaust note still rings in my ears.please make serious and worthwhile suggestions. THANKING U ALL-SHOGUN110

that my friend is a looong list , for front and rear suspension upgrade you can go for apace rtr180s front forks and rear swing arm set ,it should be a direct fit to the shoguns chassis and it has provision for rear disc set up as well

nice, go for the apache setup man , i believe tvs has been using them on motocross events for years , the apache swingarm is a lot longer than the ones you are using now , that itself will increase the stability of the bike

Tvs motocross team uses 2 bikes x 125 and x250.not sure about the mill and frame, but suspensions are definitely from other motocross bikes.the front ones are usd for christ sake!way back in late nineties they used modified shogun engines in the indian class and rm125s in foreign class.i have seen that patel guy racing on both the bikes in 2000 spring.

yes in the 2 stroke class they use mx125 and mx250 bikes the whole bike is assembled from off the shelf items available in europe , the engines are from rotax , brakes from bembo , excel rims etc etc ...., but now they mave moved on to 4-strokes and are using rtr 125 and 250 cc bikes with similar setup , i was recommending the stock forks because tvs used to race pretty much stock bikes with the bare minimum mods done to them ......also forgot to ask what is the purpose of the bike

Whatever direction our discussion goes, its a pleasure to argue with a knowledgeble 2stroke person,& not some john abraham wannabe, who loves to write dhoom on his side panels.

the pleasure is all mine my friend , one of the reasons i had recommended the apache set up is that someone else had tried it on their shogun and had reported that it is a direct fit and it also looked quite good to me, btw are from bangalore

get longer inner tubes of the same diameter as the one which you intent to use that will give you the necessary lift
