Basically IMO nothing really needs to be changed unless something is gone and needs replacement. There is this notion about RXG that it had jerking problems and what not which in fact is not true. I personally own a RXG and there is nothing wrong with it. Everything is common between the RXG and the 135 except the clutch driven gear and the primary gear. In fact the RXG clutch is supposed to be better.Originally posted by rxdude View PostI am really confused now, what should i change? Magneto flywheel set or the clutch! Can you please explain this in detail!!! Have you weighed it? How much lighter?Originally posted by Rxboy View Postthe problem was due to its lighter rotor.
Its nothing to do with CrankShaft assembly.Originally posted by vijaymeyou View PostHere rotor refers to crankshaft assembly.
He is asking you to change to RX135 CLutch bell assembly as RXG clutch bell is not available anywhere!!!! I suggest you get the existing clutch bell reset & use fresh set of clutch & pressure plates. If you want to replace the item, then go for 135 clutch bell, but make sure you change the rear sproket to 34T & front to 16T.Originally posted by rxdude View Postlast day i visited the YASS, the mechanic over there said to eliminate the jerking i have to change to the rx 135 clutch assembly.
Thank god, finally someone agrees to this. Infact RXG was heavily based on RX-King, thats why the different clutch-bell which was intended to use on a close-ratio 5-speed GB of RX-King. But our guys always want to play around, dont they. They reduced the BHP & made it a crappy 4-speeder.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostBasically IMO nothing really needs to be changed unless something is gone and needs replacement. + 1 to that. RXG is highly under-rated for god knows why. Only a true enthusiast will know the value of this bike.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostI personally own a RXG and there is nothing wrong with it. @ Thread starter, please go through the below link for detailed study:
try to read what is written & understand the concepts. That is when you will truely understand the mechanics of the RX series.

@yamdoot. To say the truth the jerking problem is not a notion, i am really suffering from it. when i decelerate its like sitting on a horse, its galloping. i am really fed up with this problem!Originally posted by yamdoot View PostBasically IMO nothing really needs to be changed unless something is gone and needs replacement. Thank you guys for all the valuable inputs, i was busy collecting parts for my rx. I am planning for a complete rebuild with new parts and its going to be a stock one.
One place i am a little bit confused is should i go for a gladiator disc setup or the old drum brake???? Any way i have to change the front forks and t stem. So please give your opinions?
Another thing i would like to know is about the carburetor.is new carburetor available??
Should i start a new thread or continue with this thread for the rebuild.
Soon i will upload the parts collection!

You can continue the same thread. Regarding the disc set up, i wud suggest u go for it. Gives additional protection along with modern looks. New carbs are rare. U might be able to get an Indian make Mikarb though.Originally posted by rxdude View PostThank you guys for all the valuable inputs, i was busy collecting parts for my rx. Thank you, its guys like you keep up the spirit to move on( i wonder where you get the time for all this). One time i even thought of selling the bike, to buy FZ. I like FZ very much except for the fact that its a four stroke. Thanks to the enthusiasm of the 2 strokers and their amazing rebuild stories.. I too want to rebuild my RXOriginally posted by yamdoot View PostYou can continue the same thread. Regarding the disc set up, i wud suggest u go for it. Got the complete gladiator disc set up. But the outer tube is black in color. Also the spokes were not available.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostYes the gladiator setup is available but not easily. But its the best setup for RX.
Which spokes should I use for the gladiator hub along with the OEM front rim?

I've heard Pulsar classic spokes might do the job. You can check with others.Originally posted by rxdude View PostGot the complete gladiator disc set up. But the outer tube is black in color. Also the spokes were not available.

Like Sri said, old pulsar spokes can be fitted . They are about .5mm short but do the job. And the black bottoms should be an added benefit as it will suit the current color combo of your bike.Originally posted by rxdude View PostGot the complete gladiator disc set up.
