Have not seen Penzzoil offlate. Vivid memory does give the same illusion as you mentioned.Originally posted by murlidhar View Postmotomix is mineral based oil. isn't it. usually ppl in this forum go for it when in run in period.
and regarding the penzzoil are you talking about the same oil that has a kinectic picture on it? and the bottle is in white color.
i can get that bottle for around 104 rs (500 ml)

i have been using mak2T but honestly i am not satisfied with how it behaves when i take it above 45, engine doesn't sound smooth anymore and i quickly take the speed down to 40. sometimes the sound scares me that i might have an engine seizure
any idea about penzoil 2t? the white colored bottle with a kinectic Honda picture on it.
any oil that can give me confidence to raise the speed bit to near 55 would be fun to drive this zippy engine
although there might be other reasons why my scooter scares me after crossing 45 i would want to have a smoother engine at decent speeds.

Castrol 2T if you get genuine go for it. Please do not waste money on Castrol Power 1 2T.
MAK2T is also good.

Shell 2T is good.Originally posted by murlidhar View Postok guys....
need to understand if thinner or thicker grade 2T oil is better for regular city use..
i am using kinectic honda which has a dry clutch and had gone through re-bore a year back.
i want to keep this scooter in running condition for as much as i can.
motul brand is too expensive for a scooter that hardly goes above 45.....( not easily accessible either in hyderabad )
which one is better for me. ( sometimes i travel 50 km at a stretch in hyderabad traffic)
shell vsx2 or castrol power 1 2T or castrol 2T.
according to the shell India website vsx2 is thicker and according to some review which i found by googling, castrol power 1 2T is a thinner oil.
at my speeds with a dry clutch i am not sure which 2T should help me running the engine smooth.
any kind of advise is really appreciated : )

I had used Motomix to run in and then switched to Petronas full synthetic.

Motomix2T will do the job, Even something like MAK will also serve the purpose.

Go for mineral matey semi synth will only prolong the break in, break it over mineral then switch to semi synth. Keep the yamalube for later

It is synth based oil. However, it is good for newly rebuild engines.Originally posted by Ri$hi View PostIs Yamalube a mineral based or synthetic based oil?
