Re: Yamaha RX135 stubborn oil leak
Finding a speedometer pinon for an old bike is difficult of course. I don't think there is any substitute for it. Even if we change pinion meter won't show accurate readings like original one. It will take time for meter needless to get set to new pinion and cables.Finding an oe spare is near to impossible. Did you check the pinion. Is it spinning. Check whether it is fitted in reverse direction. Change the direction and see.BTW where are you from. If you're from Coimbatore or Trichy you can get it in Aditya or dj automobiles. Man they have everything.Originally posted by Julius Michael Honrada View Postthanks for the reply ,do you know where can i find a replacement for the speedometer pinion , mine is missing so the gear and cable doesnt rotate with the wheel, even if it came from another bike its okay it only needs to fit in the gear and rotate with the wheel

Same thing happened in my KB and I had to change the pinion. But I am not getting accurate Speedo readings. It's like I'm at 10 but it shows 20 and when in 60 it shows around 50. You'll get some 7-8 kmph difference. It'll take time for needles to get set.
IT'S NOT NEEDLESS is needles.NEEDLESSI dont ride my bike to add days to my life.

Re: Yamaha RX135 stubborn oil leak
thanks, one more thing is it normal that my bike wont wheelie under hard acceleration , my sprocket is 15/34 my rims are 17 inches i tried doing crude compression test by putting a finger in the spark plug hole and compression was good because i was not able to hold it without it pushing my finger up and leaking air
