Thanks mate. The meters are pretty new actually. They just need to be cleaned and the rubbers replaced. And about the silencers. Ive already mentioned the reason for opting for the chambers. The Indian ones would be restricting the performance of the bike and after so much work that would be the last thing I would want.

Goodluck with your restoration. PM me if you think I can be of any help. Only willing to help!! cheers

Prashanth, check out RDD filters, if you're interested. They WILL do a good job.

        Hey Prashant,

What a beauty i must say. After reading this thread i could imagine the patience and excitement you had while re-building this dream of yours.

Even i was a lover of rd-350 as i learnt to ride a bike on it.
i wanted a rd- 350 but as i heard that the maintainence is
very high, i opted for an rx-100.
The roaring sound itself is so exciting. Man oh man, I must say that you
have put your whole heart on this restoration.
Also about the DG heads, what is the benefit???

        Cheers mate!!!

@Above: Thanks for ur words mate. and as for the DG heads, they offer better cooling as they are made of aluminium and the surface area is more than the normal heads. Also the "sunburst" design is to aid in air flow over the head. And finally it is supposed to offer higher performance due to higher compression but the performance aspect of it is being debated all over the world. There are some who say that there is an advantage while others think that its just for the show and the cooling properties and nothing more. Hope that helps!!

Actually, the stock RD heads are also made out of an aluminum alloy. And they also have similar cooling surface areas. IMO the stock heads have a higher volume of metal in them and that could be an advantage for the stock heads from a cooling point of view. Apart from that, you can do all you want to stock heads to change the combustion chamber shape to a 'high performance' one. No offence but DG heads sound more like a showoff item.

TSS ignition is a PVL ignition for there custom bike not for the RD350...why don't you go in for the RDD ignition...also meanwhile the cranks they are selling are for the RZ350!

@RKOLI: Your probably right about the lack of extra performance from using the DG heads but the cooling is much much better than the stock heads. The surface area was also measured roughly to be about approx 30% higher than the std heads area.

@Charuvil: TSS ignition is not a PVL ignition as far as I know. And I believe you can get aircooled RD cranks from them too.

                Cheers all!

The DG heads work well for bikes running static timing/points.Their usage is moot in the event you switch to a modern PVL/TSS/RDD ignition.

Yes,TSS does supply aircooled RD cranks, cylinders(of dubious origins) and assortede a/c parts. They should be able to build you a very interesting 90 degree crank.Recommend you call Wayne or Steve.

I like the build.Looks like a lot of hard work and money went into it.Kudos.

Some might have many compromised when it comes to parts, but I see that you had gone all the way in getting the parts (DG heads) which is something special about this restoration.

In all the restoration, patience, passion had always been rewarded.

Congrats Prashant! Let the bike run through the city and do the talking of RD350 !!

I'm one among many enthusiasts would like to see the bike.
