Dear all, Need suggestions on oil pump and engine behaviour. Shaft for oil pump is worn out just changed pump so realised( searching for new one ).so no pressure from pump to bring oil till carburetor. Also when I tried to bleed out air from pump at that time 2 types of oil coming from it.one is normal 2t and second is gray one like engine oil. Also found after 1000 km drive engine oil is reducing 300-400 ml.also after revving hard for few km bike struggle to get pickup and get normal after slow drive for a minute. Please suggest solution to bring things normal. Thanks In advance.

Since you asked, there are few local made cylinder kits available (don't remember the brand) ranging from 3500 ~ 4500.
Some branded piston + rings on those cylinder will give a better life & performance.
Bro...try GOETZE cylinder kit with piston because I came to know they were original cylinder manufacturers for rx series....it is also available currently...crt me if I am wrong....

Am asking this because I got carried away by the stated results of RDD CDI kit when going through some older threads especially higher rpms in every gear and in search of something similar and the ones I could find are these nmwracing cdi on amazon.
Should I go for an aftermarket cdi or can the stock ones do the need? (ofcourse with numerous other factors in play)
The RDD CDI kit is no more available. But the RDD CDI is available and yes it is a gem of a product by Ron. Provided you take extra care to instal it. Its not a plug and play product like the other crappy CDIs available in the market.

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of restoring my Yamaha RX 5 speed. This is a complete DIY project and I'm nearly done. I'm based I Bangalore. I am on the lookout for 3 parts:
    1. Cylinder kit. I know it's nearly impossible to get a 4TL01 cylinder kit and the 3KA20 Indonesian is my best bet. Would greatly appreciate any help here. I have the original head and i'm looking for the cylinder and piston kit.
    2. Mikuni Carb 33 mm. Please suggest any good and reliable sources.
    3. Alternator - I would like to increase the voltage supplied as well. Please do share recommendations..

Never heard of it, mikuni and its copies are the best so far, if the size and jets match it would work, but for how long and how reliable is a guess work.

Hi vinay, yes I have recently heard about allied electronics CDI. I have enquired them and their static CDI kit seems to be fine both on quality and pricing. But the variable timing kit is a bit too steeply priced (almost double!). So, thinking of which would be best.

    Thanks.

Best part is to switch between the curves based on your riding profile.

I cam across the NM CDI on web, however never used one.
The problem is with static curve/single map. Not sure if the static curve would best suit your ignition timing. The overheating issues, sputtering, rev saturation and what not!
Yes, the NMW one is a bit sketchy in the very way the product is being listed.

tkrj is on the expensive side.

As far as i know from the forum, people prefer art and mahle.

Looking for an RXG Pull-Type Choke for my carb.
I tried using RX100's choke but the nut size is small so it won't work. Have attached pics
