Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I recently got both RX135/RX100 fitness certified none other than where I got my bike registered.
hi sriram ...yes they ask for a fitness certificate from the company showroom in order to get a RC extension for the next five years ..lucky u if this doesnt happen
there.. coz this actually will cost you less, give u less trouble and no harassment from all sort of problems showroom ppl create

Considering a new one, but if it's a good sparingly used block (greedy here ) then I can consider that one. But preferably a new one.

Thats really ridiculous. How can the showroom give a fitness certificate firstly.

Secondly the RTO is supposed to examine / inspect the vehicle and extend the road-worthiness of the bike, its not a mere RC extension for 5 yrs. In other words they are the ones to certify the fitness of the vehicle.

In our state (maharashtra) after 15 years every 5 years we have to take the vehicle for "passing" (fitness).

But to be honest I know we cannot argue with them over any nonsense reasons or rules they say. Believe me when I had gone for my vehicles name transfer, they DIDN'T ACCEPT DRIVING LICENSE as a valid proof. That was the most ironic it could get.

Reminds me of the instance when a person field a RTI and was told to give it in a brown envelope, although there is nothing in the rules about this sort of thing....The Sarkari guys are such a mean bunch.

I am here to ask a question. I am getting a shaolin for 5.5k. The engine has recently been restored. I am yet to see the bike. My biggest fear is the chassis and body. I do not care about engine as i can very well overhaul it. But the owner has overhauled it.

Shall i pick it up. How hard is it to get shaolin parts. Is running items available like accelerator cable, choke cable, clutch cables e.t.c.

more than the body or the chassis you should be worried about the engine as spares like the crank, conrod, clutch and cylinder-kit are very hard to come by and hideously expensive ,running items like the cables are same i believe for the suzies2stroke range so that shouldnt be an issue ,it sounds like a steal for 5.5k provided the papers are clean and the engine isnt a can of worms

My cousin brother picked one Shaolin last year which was running on stock bore (run more than 50k kms) and cycle parts in good condition for 6k. He sold it for 3k after 6 months to an off-road racer.
Bike's FC was due and mileage also low (between 21-25 kmpl), so he ultimately sold it off.
I rode it once - the clutch needed repair but still blown away by its pickup.
