Thanks a ton everyone for the appreciation. To be honest, there's not much mere words can do when there are pictures around that take one beyond what can be spoken or written.

Short and sweet text. Well written (As always. This has become synonymous with OF).

PS: It's written that you turned back from Tattapaani. So you didn't go to the banks?
The folks out there have setup bathing bays, which is a shower type arrangement, out in the open. Cold water is internally mixed with the hot spring water and what pours out is pleasant luke-warm water. I had the opportunity of bathing there at 6 am on a winter morning. Do try that someday, the feeling's awesome
Yes Vaibhav, I did do this stretch on quite a few other bikes which included my trusted KB100 Delta, the RX-100 and the Shogun. In those days, a bike like the Karizma was something to dream about - big, 17 bhp, disc brake, great lights, great suspension and amazing handling. Things have come a long way for me. The Busa epitomizes touring machinery and it surely holds its forte pretty well, with just one catch and its a big one. Respect its power or it is going to mercilessly and ruthlessly kill the rider. An immensely capable bike that MUST not be played around with. I guess this goes for any of the superbikes though.

We did not go in for a 'hot' water bath for two reasons: 1) it was quite hot and humid when we were there and 2) the river was full to the brim, the angry waters very muddy and I always intend to keep at a respectful distance from an angry Sutlej, having seen it devastate the area in 2000.

Thanks JD. As for the attention, so it was and the Busa took the lion's share of the proceedings. The real sight though is in the rear-view mirrors of the lead rider as he sees big bikes with big bright headlights trailing him through the curves.

Praveer: you were great for a first timer on an sbk in the hills. And baptized by fire so to say due to the wet and slushy roads you rode on. Its a statement of your level-headedness and humility that a Leh veteran like you is willing to learn from the scratch. Great pictures too.

Manan babu: You are a delight as a companion and a wonderful fellow traveller. It was great touring with you once again. Looking forward o more.

Roger: My first long ride with you and it was fun. Especially those long walks we enjoyed on those misty and cool roads. I guess you did eventually fall in love with the Bandit...did you?

Big people as yourself tend to oversee the smaller ones from behind for their safety, thats the humility you possess
