@ Ananth: It was baby anaconda waiting for us on way back from mulliyanagiri. Donno what kind of snake it is as it was in the middle of road we stopped our bike and took pics of it. I think we helped it indirectly as soon as we stopped there for pics a car came from opp direction came & my friend made them stop for me to take pics, who knows if we were not there it might kissed the car tyres.

Pabi, finally got time to read the log. I must say it is most adventurous, though feeling sorry for you that you missed exploring the places around Chikmagulur. From Tumkur, if you had come to Chikballapur, it would have been a nice journey. Anyway, you will remember this trip for your life.

can u tel the route you have taken??

from hyd it was NH7 till penukonda , from penukonda -madakasira-rolla-sira[night stay]-banavara[some parts will get real bad in this stretch]-kemmangundi[some parts are worse]-chiklur[night stay]-mulliyanagiri[next day].

My suggestion is to go on nh7 till chikballapur-tumkur-chikmaglur or hindupur-tumkur-chiklur this will take the first day from you.Then next day morning head to kemmangundi don't take the leftturn at kaimara go straight this route is a bit long[+30kms] but u will reach in short time . On way back come via bababudiyanagiri,mulliyanagiri and kaimara . Don't miss hebbe falls . If you want u can stay at kemmangundi so that u can cover things relxedly .

There is also other route if you directly wana go to kemmengundi instead of chiklur . madakasira-hiriyur-hosdurga-birur-kemgundi . Try this one if you want and let us know .
