Believe me they are thereOriginally posted by satyenpoojary View PostPLEASE wear Knee guards! I couldnt find a single pic of the 220 guy with the knee guards

oops! missed it in the logOriginally posted by Rony View PostYea its a real fun riding those roads and taking pictures at every corner
Thanks. As mentioned in the log and shown in this map, you need to look out for a left turn immediately after crossing the Ghoti toll plaza on NH3. First you will see a right turn which goes to bhandardara and after around 300 meters you will see a left turn on the corner of which there is a sign board mentioning "Trimbakeshwar - 62km"
..... Once you take that left turn, you need to ride straight for about 10 to 15 km and then you will start seeing the backwaters. There is a right turn which you will need to take next in order to reach the place where we took those pics. That road is a shortcut to trimbakeshwar !
! Thanks though

I had first used standard font size but then given the ratio of text to pictures, the text was looking too small and congested. Moreover, I reserved the small size for the quick insights to make them easily distinguishable from rest of the log. IMO many users now have 17" + monitors having high resolution (I personally use 22"), which makes it difficult to read the small text. Anyways thanks for your suggestion.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostStick to standard fonts and font sizes, its easier for the eyes and PLEASE wear Knee guards! WE ALL WERE WEARING KNEE GUARDS along with other required gears. Only difference was me and gautam were wearing them on the jeans and RISHI had them inside the jeans. I think you must have seen many xBhpians wearing knee guards inside their jeans and hence you should not be surprised at all
But I think you forgot to mention about the write up and pics
Rachit, we missed to visit that pond which you have beautifully covered in your earlier log. And I wanted to ask, did you people also have your lunch at Chetna Dinning Hall (Gujurati Thali Rs. 50/-) ?? Thanks for the appreciation.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostGreat log.. wonderful writeup.. enjoyed each bit of it guyz.. keep it up..!!

Ha ha ... if you see my office montor(s) you will die laughing! they are probably set at what you see on a spreadsheet with font size 6! The awkward (non standard font) just becomes a distraction to the eye...
Regarding the log... hadnt read it full.. so didnt comment... but all in all... looks like you guys had fun! thats what matters more! Cheers! Glad to hear that there were knee guards in place with Rishi as well.

Wow. Absoutely great trip there, accompanied by nice pics and good writeup. I didn't know we can do Mumbai Tryambakeshwar in one day!
A little addition from my side on tryambakeshwar. There are total seven hills surrounding the temple, and it is considered holy to walk around those hills barefoot in the month of Shravana, especially on third monday. But third monday is most crowded, therefore many people like me do it on some other monday of Shravan.
It starts by taking a dip in the Kushavarta pond, taking darshan of the Temple top (because taking darshan of the lingas will take too much time), and then walking on the path around the hills. There is a lake called 'Anjani mata's lake', which should be circled before continuing on. The road goes on for around 20 kms. First 10 or so kms are on nice city roads. Then we take a turn to walk on pure mitti gravel raw road, for some 5-7 kms. Finally there is a temple of 'Ahilya devi' wife of Gautam rushi, which houses idols of Ram, Sita and Hanuman, and marks the completition half journey. It is located on a hill called 'Gautam's hill' (Gautamacha Dongar). We climb down the hill, and continue towards Tryambakeshwar. After a while and after crossing very slippery road and very pointy sharp stone's road, we finally join the tarmac road, and reach Tryambakeshwar, with a feeling of greatfulness, and exhaution. The parikrama lasts for some 5-6 hours or more, depending on stamina.
This was massive OT, but the beautiful pics reminded me of the parikrama!

Now im really curious about the purpose
the dining hall was closed from all sides meaning all windows closed and lights on 24*7. and no natural air circulation. Didnt feel like i was suffocating though.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostOh yeah..!! You mean this pond

yes we went inside for the darshan. we were in the temple premises from 11-1200hrs.Originally posted by beruoist View PostNice trip Rony...Liked the lake pics.Did you went inside for
the darshan ??..
Btw..I have been to Trimbak once. But didn't get any lake in between
Cheers

The lake is actually the backwaters from the vaitarna dam. You get it only if you take the inner road from ghoti. That is if you are going from mumbai to nashik, you will get a left turn immediately after ghoti. Then after following that road for about 10-15 kms, you get a Y junction. Take the right road from here. You WILL see the backwaters
