But I would like to spoil the fun here by saying that you are very stupid to do that. You know yourself that you put yourself in grave danger for a certificate. Please dont attempt anything similar again. You were extremely lucky to return unhurt. God may not be that kind second time around.

    Hey Dude,

    Thanks for the concern.

This ride was more about passion for riding, completing the ride and gaining the invaluable experience. Though I ride hard, I always ride safe without putting myself or anyone else in danger.
It may be stupid for some, but for me it was a wild experience different from the ones attempted and acheived on a 100cc+class.

Are you actually trying to say that all people who attempt a saddlesore are stupid? If so I would disagree. All actions have a purpose, every biker on this forum and in other forums over the globe do it for a reason. If they succeed or not succeed it does not matter. What matters is that they are passionate about what they do.

Whatever. Either ways life is so uncertain. A few days here and there would not make much of a difference..would it. LOL
Trust in the almighty and go ahead, if life was always a good dream then everything would be easy to acheive....wouldnt it??

      Well said, Royd....

There are bikers and then there are BIKERS... and you definitely belong to the latter

All the best for your next attempt... hope that I can work up the courage to do something like this, albeit on a bigger bike

Ride hard, ride safe and God Bless

@Incubus: I understand that driving is your passion and all passionate people, while in pursuit of their passion, appear stupid to others.
But my point is that typically people put much less price to their own safety than they should.

Your bike cannot go over 100 and for 24 hours you are trying to maintain an average speed of 70. How are you going to do it? My guess is that sometimes you wont slow down when you should or wont take break when it absolutely critical. Thus you put yourself in danger.
Fatalaties on Indian roads are mind boggling. India has the highest number of road accidents in the world | Asia | Deutsche Welle | 29.04.2010
14 people die every hour. Injuries are countless. I am trying to discourage you here from repeating such a stupid act. Your life is much more precious than you think.

          My Dear friend,

As I said before. That's not important for me if I make it or not in 24hrs. I am in no race for a certificate, neither am I intending to break any world records here, etc. its a different feeling alltogether when you complete a ride of this magnitude.

But my point is that typically people put much less price to their own safety than they should. .[/QUOTE]

Rest assured mate, for me saftey comes first. Else there would be no reason for me to invest almost 20K on safety gear.

A saddlesore is an overall test for both rider and machine. In my log you would see I have covered both.
Life is by far the most precious gift from God and I thank him every day for protecting my friends and myself from harm. In our country road accidents are a nightmare. I completely understand where you are coming from and I am deeply moved by your concern for my safety. Very few would seldom care for a stranger. But my friend, if we are to live in fear then what is the point? Its not that I have a death wish nor do I wish someone harm.

As per the article which you have shared, most of the accidents that have happened are under the influence of Alcohol..I dont drink and ride.

Just to add, if we all will fear riding on our beloved country's roads then how are we going to make our government aware that they need to make wider roads, more safety for two wheelers, etc.
Last but not the least: Whatever is destined to happen will happen. Irrespective of the conditions under which it happens. Follow your heart and live life to the fullest. With the increasing population of both people and vehicles all we can do is spread awarness of safety.
          Godspeed!

            Thanks Centaur,

I noticed you have a dozen metal steeds. How on earth do you manage that? LOL. Where do you keep so many bikes? I am struggling with 4 here and adding another is near to impossible.

Appreciate your love for your steeds

You mentioned my 2 favorite bikes , but sadly I had to let them go...

As to the Kwacker... I wish

I also wish that I can do at least 1 saddlesore... not for the certificate, but for my own satisfaction

PS: Don't know if you notice, no RX in that list.... don't know why, but never liked that bike, preferred the Shogun !!

Dude...Helmets off to you! I am struck with no words to congratulate your passion to do the ride on a RX though you own a Fazer.

I can feel your pain especially during the ride in rain coz I have personally experienced it for more than 10 hours of night ride under heavy rain conditions during my Saddlesore ride. Words can't explain it. While facing all these odds it is the true passion towards our bikes that'll make us go further.

It doesn't matter you did it in 24 hours or 27 hours-What matters the most is you have ridden a bike for 27 hours continuosly- that's the achievement. I don't think anybody else in India have done this. Proud of you bro!

Looking forward for the next attempt that I'm sure you'll be successful!

                              keep riding!
1665 km in 23 hrs 52 mins-A better way to celebrate my Bike's Birthday

Wow brother! Just wow! These days many people are attempting saddle sores but this particular attempt just made my day!Helmets off to you bro! This one really shows your will-power. Frankly speaking, after seeing your header,'Saddle Sore on an RX' ..I thought..hmm, lets see how long he'd last and here you stand after riding continuously for more than a day on a piece of vintage machinery.I too own a similar vehicle, though my RX is a bit younger than yours, its only 23 . And the maximum distance I've done on my RX would be a mere 60kms thanks to the iron-butt problem.
But you just took Indian biking to the next level. Now many people will be attempting such rides. And i too want to attempt one in the future(not certainly on my RX,i don't have the guts) may be on a bigger machine.
And do watch out your health bro..Cut down the smokes, be prepared better and finish this thing off the next time.
And yes, do take powernaps; won't be a good idea to find yourself sleeping while driving and then things happening to you..
Anyways..one hell of a ride! Congrats bro! Simply great! Ride Safe!! Keep on Riding!!

P.S: Try to inform the Yamaha Co. They'll sure want to give you something.
