                        Hey pratheek & maestro, thanks guys. I really apologies guys for not updating this thread for a long. So decided to do it from my cellphone itself. pics will be uploaded sooner or later. Till then here we go ;

                        pit stop 1 :

                        Distance : 315 km

Within no time we was out of thane city, as we reached bhiwandi i thought to give another try for shinde to get computerised print of bill for his start. So entered one pump & ask one guy sitting there to swip the card for us. But he didnt show any interest & started asking us silly questions. Gave up the idea for getting printed reciept & soon we was zooming on NH-3 towards nashik. As most of the road towards nashik is in good condition we was managing to get a descent average speed. As we reached igatpuri it started raining. Though it was just drizzling, but it was good enough the slow us down. & I was thinking, 'what to do now? What if it rained throught the journey?, ok ! Just Keep riding, jo hona hai wohi hoga. Saddlesore nahi then atleast we can complete my last lonarwala ride'. Shinde was riding behind me, i dont know whats going on in his mind. But, he followed me without say a single word in that rain. Soon we was out of nashik city & After couple of hours the rain stopped, we was drenched & dhule was still 20-30km from there. We stopped at roadside, shinde was shivering little bit & so do i. Had a quick sutta but shinde was not ready to ride. He told me that he will stay in lodge nearby & wait for me to return. Our foot got numb inside our shoes. So we decided to remove our socks & later found it was a wise decision & somehow i convinced shinde to continue the ride. So again we was on our way. In no time we passed dhule city, suddenly i remember about our fuel stop & it was not a big pain to find it. So we refuelled there & got my printed reciept. Again, here too shinde's card was not accepted. Dont know why? But , thank god he have sufficient amount of cash to complete the journey.

                        Pit stop 2 :

                        Distance : 348 km

This was crucial & most dangerous part of ride. Pitch dark single lane highway, high beams of oncoming traffic leaving you absolutely blind & subah subah ki neend. After refuelling we move ahead. for few km's, we were riding at slow and steady speed to get used to single lane highway & also we was feeling a bit drowsy. We were forced to have a break & at that time in early morning it was a bit chilly too. So shinde took out his windcheater & wore it over his riding jacket. Meaanwhile, i took a bottle of water & went inside nearby jhaadi to relieve myself. Haha, neele gagan ke taale, subah ke chaar baaje... Had few sutta & washed my face and we started again. This time i gained some confidence & was riding way ahead of shinde, but had to slowdown for him as the road was not good for a newbie night riders like him. Many time i scoulded him for being that slow, i know it was not his fault but it was his decision to join me for this ride & at that time i was really scolding myself for tagging him with me. Anyways, we crossed khamgaon through bypass road of that city & around 6:30am in morning & it was a great sigh of relief to see sun coming out from clouds. So we stopped at roadside tapri there to have a cup of tea. Nagpur was still around 250km from there & i had set a deadline to reach there on or before 10am in morning. Spidey was expected to come at turning point decided at nagpur. Gave him a call, no reply, so leaved a sms about our reaching time. I was discussing with shinde that anyhow we have to reach there on time otherwise our return journey on that single lane highway in a day time with lots of local peoples & vehicular traffic will be really tough job to do & as the sun has rised you should not have any problem to rev your engine now. I even asked him to wait there till i return. But again, i gave him another chance & told him, ' fcuk it, saala itne door aagaye hai. Poora toh karna hi hai. Chal nikalte hai'. So we started again. But same thing happened, i used to go ahead & have to slowdown for shinde. As we crossed akola city it was time to refuel the bikes. After a few search, found a pump which accepts card payment. Time was around 8.30am in morning & again nagpur was little more than 150km's. After refuelling, shilde finally gave up his attempt & told me, ' you move ahead & complete the ride. I ll wait for you here, coz i m feeling a bit drowsy again & i cant keep up with you & also coz of me your attempt will be in danger', & why not according to our deadline of reaching nagpur around 10am max in morning seems to be impossible if we move ahead together. Thanks shinde for your wise decision. I quickly started my bike - nagpur here i come.

                        Pitstop 3 :

                        Distance : 160 km.

After leaving from petrol pump i just revved my bike like anything. In no time i crossed amravati. Road after amravati is almost 80% 4 lane highway. So it didnt take much time to reach near nagpur. The last 40-50km road for nagpur was in bad shape. But still i was able to manage descent speed. In a meanwhile i again gave a call to spidey, but again it was no use. So decided to get the petrol pump printed reciept. Soon i was on outskirts of nagpur city & odometer just passed 800km wala mark. Phew, half of the journey completed. But, i still dont have the printed reciept. As i enter nagpur, the nightmare started - lots of cyclist, two-wheelers, cages & even state transport buses with absolutely no traffic sence. Koi bhi kahi se bhi aa raha tha. Mumbai is better in case of traffic sence, so you guys just imagine how worse it could be. anyways i was looking for atm or petrolpump & luckily found one pump which accept card payment. pump was over crowded, it took me almost 15min to refuel & another 10min to get my printed bill. in a meanwhile, attendant was busy in getting me bill, i got off from my bike to have a good look at it & WTF? due to last night rain, all lube on my bike's chain got washed away as it dont have chain cover on it & chain had became red hot. what to do now? i got my reciept & seen the time on it, i was already running behind the decided schedule. i dont want to waste more time in searching for garage to get my chain properly lubed. so took a chance & gave a call to shinde & told him about it & also ask him to buy some oil to lube my chain. & my return journey started.

                            Pitstop 4 :

                            Distance : 272 km

This time i was little worried about my bike's chain, so i slowed down a bit. But again, i realised that if i continue with this speed i will not make it in time. So, left with no option to again rev my bike. Nothing much happened in this part of journey. I just crouched myself & was revving my bike in tripple digit. Thank god there was little traffic on this stretch. At around 1pm i reached that petrol pump where i & shinde was divided. I could not found him anywhere, so gave him a call. He was waiting ahead for me near akola city. As i was about to reach akola, again called him & he told me not to stop anywhere untill i see him waiting for him on roadside. Just before i enter akola i spotted him, but didnt stop there & waived him to continue. Actually, i was feeling a bit hungry & have to take a break for it & also much needed break for chain lubing too. So, i decided not to stop in akola city. Just after we crossed that city, found one descent spot under tree on roadside & we stopped. It was first & last time i was off from my for a good long break of around half an hour. Feeling as if i was in heaven. Its time fill my stomach now. Had packet of buiscuit, one can of red bull followed by few suttas, also lubed my bikes chain. Aah, it was a relief now. It was again decided, shinde told me to move ahead as i was running out of time. Me too agreed with him. but i told him we will move together till we cross khamgaon bypass, coz that bypass is little complicated & any new person can easily miss the route to get out from it. So we moved ahead slow & steady. It was time for another fuel break. Just before khamgaon bypass starts, found one pump & quickly refuelled & got my reciept. By looking at me fully geared, Petrol pump attendent also told me that few days back one more guy on his thunderbird refuelled at their pump wearing all those gears & asked me do i know him? I denied & moved ahead.

                            Pitstop 5 :

                            Distance : 251 km

Shinde was waiting for me outside pump, soon we was on bypass road & he was following me. As that bypass finished, i had a look in my RVM & waived him goodbuy & he did the same. That was last time i had seen him till i complete my ride.

This time i was feeling little emotional while leaving him, tears almost came in my eyes. I was just thinking, ' what had happened if he was not there to help me to find oil & it was because of him i took a chance of riding back from nagpur in that condition of my bike. coz i know, if anything worse happens, help is not far away. Also thinking about his decision of quiting his attempt for this ride just for me etc etc'. Anyways, thanks shinde for whatever did for me & one day we will definately complete another saddlesore together.

I zoomed ahead from him & soon he dissappeared from my RVM. This time i was riding like crazy on that single lane highway. But many times i had to slow down & get my bike off the road. Thanks to that reckless ST, trucks & car drivers. They dont care for any bike coming from opposite direction. They have to overtake means they have to. B****ds !!! Soon i crossed jalgaon & till i reach dhule it was same story of those reckless drivers. Somehow i managed to reach dhule & quickly entered the same pump where last night i refuelled. Time was running ahead of me & sun also started getting down. I calculated my time & it was as if i cant make it now. Quickly refuelled my bike, got my reciept & moved ahead.

                              Pitstop 6 :

                              Distance : 310 km

As i was on bypass of dhule city, there was a huge traffic jam. Although it was four lane bypass but there getting out from there was really tough thing to do. Again, thanks to mumbai city traffic. Due to which we learn how to get out from it. When i reached the point from where that traffic was started, i was stunned to see that it was due to highway traffic police who were stopping each & every truck for bribe ( which is called 'entry' or 'chai-paani' in their language ). As i crossed dhule, fatigue started building inside me. Though it was a clean four lane highway, it was feeling very difficult to manage 80 ka speed also. My visor was full of dead insects on it, due to which strong odour was coming from it. I was feeling very drowsy at that time & i still dont remember how i reached near pimpalgaon. There was huge line of traffic coz there is a big vegetable market in that area. The sun had gone down & i had to keep my visor open. Thanks again to high beams on oncoming traffic. To add more, there was road construction going on, due to which every now & they small dust particles was going in my eyes. Once i was saved from crashing on tractor whose tail light was not working. So decided to take a much needed break. So haulted on one roadside dhaba, lit 1 cig & opened my tankbag for a bottle of water. It was empty, went inside that dhaba & got one. Washed my face & was cleaning my visor, looking at me one kid came running to my & started looking at me as if koi alien aaya. I was looking at him, he came near me & touched the knee guard i was wearing asking what it is? Just for fun, i screamed loudly & told him, my both legs are fractured in one accident & for a support i have to wear them while riding. Dont know what he thought, but he only said,'ok' & went away. Lit another fag after washing my visor. Had a look at time, It was 7 in evening. Thane was around 200km from there. 'Teen ghante mein doo sau'. It was doable, but my big hurdle was crossing that pimpalgaon & nashik city in that evening rush hour coz in nashik too construction was flyover was going on. Anyway, started my bike & was moving ahead from wherever little space i got & was thinking about my whole ride till now. This last few hours was crucial for me to decide whether im good enough to complete it in this first attempt or i have to give another try. I was thinking about the people who successfully completed their ride & how difficult it is to do it & was appreciating them. I was finding very difficult to get out from that traffic coz of stress on my mind, body & not to forgot my bike has gone through from last night & i was literally crying to get out from it. Somehow i was out from nashik city. From there there was no looking back for me. It was like do or die situation. It was whole empty stretch from there. Thank god. Soon i was managing to hit tripple digit of speed. Igatpuri came & it started little drizzling again. WTF, it seems even nature is against me now. But , i didnt gave a damn for it. Still i was on my tripple digit. Within 10minute or so, the rain stopped. Kasara, shahpur, padghe & soon i was on bhiwandi bypass road. Adrenaline was running high. But, was stopped at mankoli signal. From there, it was huge line of heavy vehicle till toll naka near lodha complex ( outskirts on thane city ). That reminded me a day in rainy season, when i was stuck in that traffic for almost couple of hours. But, thanks to traffic police this time. They had managed to keep all heavy vehicles in left lane of highway & whole rightside of lane was empty for small vehicles. WOW !!!. Zoomed ahead from that signal as if there is no tomorrow coz i was really not aware of time & was still thinking whether i will make it or not. Reached majiwada flyover, took a right turn from under it. Crossed cine wonder mall & entered the pump from where i started. Refuelled my bike took a printed reciept which shows.

                              Date : 06/11/10

                              Time : 21:05:26

& calculated my odometer reading it was 1656 km.

Cant believe , i had made it, i had made it & that too one hour before it.

Pushed my bike little ahead, there was a place to sit. Sat there for couple of minute with my eyes closed & was recollecting all the things what i did in last 24 hours & was feeling proud of myself. I was sitting there for almost 15min. Kissed, thanked & congratulated my bike for this ride. Got out from that pump & lit a last fag of victory. First thing i did was i called shinde to ask him where he is & told him about my successfull ride. He congrats & informed me that he is about to reach nashik. After that gave a call to mandar, he too congratulated me & last but not least my FB status - tushar jadhav is back from long ride of 23 hours of more than 1600km, yes a successfull saddlesore.

All the fatigue & drowsyness was took over by joy & excitement. From there went directly at home??? Naaaahh. It was time to celebrate. Removed all my gears & gave it to security guard of building & went to one hotel where few of my friends was already having their jaam session. They were shocked to see me back & asked me what happened? I told then i completed my ride successfully. Few of their reactions - ' faala sahi mein yeh paagal ho gaya hai', 'kya mila jaakar'?, 'sahi hai bhai', '******* bana raha hai' ( oops, sorry mods. Please forgive this time ) & many more. Some was appreciating & some was making fun of mine. No regrets, they dont know how proud you feels about urself after such kind of rides. Took my glass & said, 'CHEERS' !!!
