Good detailed write up for the trip with equally graceful pics. reminds me of my first bike tour to "queen of mountains". Nostalgic though!

Thanks bro. Glad that you recalled your trip. I am missing touring badly. Had two back-to-back plans in past 10 days and both got cancelled

Nice trip here buddy .. but why did you leave the bikes down there .. It was fun taking them up till the last point .. We even took the eterno with us

when we went there in 2010

Though it was totally exhausting ...

But the weather that time was just awesome

We were actually going to take our bikes there itself. But someone (a pick-up coming in opposite direction) told us that the way till "up" there is not meant for vehicles and we (as told by him) assumed that may be its impossible to take vehicles all the way. And as suggested by him, we went back a little to take the other alternate route which terminates itself in hathipanv. It was a small trek from there onwards to reach Army Base Camp. Though when we reached Base Camp, we found that we were on the right path earlier

These pics were taken on that exhausting path itself

Ruining? Yeah, you ruined my thread by adding some beautiful pics here Com'on bro, its good to share experiences.

The exhausting path

was actually wonderful .. I weigh 60 kgs and my pillion was 80 and we were on the Eterno which itself has a heavy rear .. Time and again it used to pop up from the front and it used to get very difficult to control it

But it was really fun and for me George Everest is still the best place in that whole area.
