Mount Abu is really good place only if u visit all places which are actually inside like gurushikhar and the temple mentioned then only you can enjoy.
please don't visit the common tourist spots like lake and playgrounds..it will remind you of matheran.Leh,Ladakh & Lahaul Ride to Heaven & Back - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...aven-back.html

awesome triplogue with nice photos, just to mention the ahmedabad - abu road stretch is a fantastic road to test your speed, but one needs to be very careful on the stretch. Truck drivers are reckless , one of the rider passed away when he crashed his R1 on the same road at very high speeds.YOU CAN TAKE THE BIKE OUT OF MY GARAGE, BUT YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE BIKER OUT OF MY MIND

Mt Abu Brings back memories as a boarder there!!
Man i really wish i could have been there would have done my Ninja 250r some good! I haven't been back since 1997. I studied for 5 years at Saint Mary's High School (Boarding) Mount Abu. It's been my dream to ride back there! I'm from Goa and currently working in the UAE. Will be coming back to Goa for a month in April. I wonder if you guys are doing the trip again?Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostRide to Mount Abu - An oasis in the desert

Riders -
Sachin - Karizma ZMR
Viraj - Yamaha R15
Puneet - Karizma R
From the beginning of Dec'10 we were planning to ride to Mount Abu however to due to various reasons it got postponed.
That time very little did I know about this beautiful hill station which is the highest peak in Aravalli range of Rajasthan.
It is referred to as 'an oasis in the desert', as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests.
With so much heard about this place I badly wanted to tour Mt.Abu.
It was very hard convincing my parents to allow me to go for this ride as I was just back from New year's Goa ride. However few days down the line I managed to convince my parents and got the most important job done that is getting my leaves approved.
I love riding bike in group so decided to put in on our famous Mumbai thread about this trip. Apart from me & Viraj who were confirmed riders coming for this trip we found a new bee N4Speed [Puneet] who saw my post on the thread and was ready to come this all exciting trip. Few people did try to come but could not make it so we were down to 3 riders finally making it for this ride.
Once everything was sorted the trip was all in the making and ride was planned to be done in Feb'11.
Before we get into the ride to Mount Abu it is important for me to give a vote of thanks to few people as without them the trip would n't have been successful.
Satyen Poojary - Thanks you for suggesting Mt.Abu when I was in dilemma whether to visit Mt.Abu or Udaipur.
An experience of riding with you and all the tips and your valuable advices that you gave me before this ride was of tremendous help.
Viraj & Puneet - My fellow riders from Thane. You guys rock. Starting from planning everything about the trip to helping each other whenever there was any issues. You guys were always there.
Many more interesting things coming up....Stay glued
Prologue - Preparations before the ride
Day 1: First steps towards heavenly highways
Day 2 : Race to Mount Abu
Day 3 - Exploring Mount Abu
Day 3 continued: Exploring Mt.Abu
Day 4: Epic ride back home

I guess you are talking about the Palanpur stretch which has limited traffic and awesome roads where one can touch top speed easily.Originally posted by rutvij_3400 View Postawesome triplogue with nice photos, just to mention the ahmedabad - abu road stretch is a fantastic road to test your speed, but one needs to be very careful on the stretch.
