    Mumbai Season 1: Episode 1&2
It conspired last week... Prathik had spotted this place on Google maps and mentioned about it. A place that seems so beautiful and so close to Mumbai... Had to check this one out.
So saturday last week some of us ventured to see the place...
    - Me
    - George (aka Centaur)
    - Alankar
    - Manas

Paradise. No picnickers around. Clean waters with no rubbish in form of used plates and etc thrown in the lake. Very beautiful and pristine. On Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, - After Nallasopara Police Station - Hotel Umbrella at Pelhar Village - Take the road going in from Hotel Umbrella - motorable road with cowsheds on both sides and the Pelhar Lake and Pelhar Dam lies behind these cowsheds.

We had a good ride, a lil bit of getting lost as Pratheek couldnt make it... We battled some traffic, good roads and bad roads... and even roads filled with dung! (YES DUNG) thanks to the tabelas enroute...
The end result was a good ride to a virgin destination... Pelhar..

After a lot of roaming around we finally settled down to click some pics... and clicked they did in grand style!

Lil did we know... that a seed was planted.. and the pics from the phone would impress a few underground members and result in an enquiry for a ride again over the weekend.

More so, as we got a chance to boat (for free) and Boat we did! It was fun! A natural workout! and so much more special than sweating it out in the gym!

There was some unfinished business there as well... we figured theres another route to that place from a local... but we couldnt spot the same on our way back... So we HAD to find this route... especially since it looks like a nice trail on the google maps! Something that "could" help avoid the dung filled road

So here it was, a plan for the first ride, a grand Mumbai g2g

More pics from all fellow mumbai group to follow!
(and hope they keep the writing tradition alive and write a small log too!)

We actually reached the dam using the same route and then I went to scout for the other route.... The other route is just before the tabelas... instead of left you take a right (and there isnt a visible road here though)

It leads to a mini rajmachi styles stone/slush filled way to that house! Its a FUN ride!
