Thank you. The route I took was too tough and was definitely not possible with smaller machine. I was constantly riding at 130-140 with many times 150.

The actual 1600 was completed couple of hours in advance. If I had excluded Hyd traffic, it might be in 20 hrs. Yes, its bit easier on Ashley.

              Congratulations Sri on the SS1000
Doing an SS1000 is always a challenge on any motorcycle irrespective of their engine capacity, Indian Highway conditions test your riding and concentration skills to the limit.

Doing it on big-bikes presents a different set of difficulties, such as fuel, higher effort to maneuver, to brake and to corner

Kudos Sri for this effort, Harley should be proud to have this breed of riders who can truly test the motorcycle.

True Test of the Harley's Reliability [pun intended , sorry couldnt resist ]

Very much true on challenges irrespective of bike cc.

Very much false on HD reliability . Mine is fourth harley doing SS attempt in India. I heard that a fat boy had been to Leh yatra this season. Also, just look at Certified IBA Rides on Iron Butt website and you will find 16000+ H-D bikes listed there...

Congrats Sri Shetty it could have been a relaxed ride of 1753 km in 20 hours, minus the tense moments of Hyderabad's evening traffic.

                            Wonderful accomplishment and Congrats Sri.
This is a real achievement esp on a harley sportster with indian road conditions. I am sure the windshield was a big boon to keep the wind off the chest & reduce so much fatigue.

                                1753 kms is EPIC!

Reminds me of my own SS 2 weeks back although that was unofficial - without any proof.. I covered 1604 kms in 23 hours at a stage when I'd never done anything above 260kms in a day! It was a good experience..

A horrible bump at a toll booth put me off too..

Must have been heavenly cruising at 130 with that amazing sound all around you

Congrats! And yeah - Your log makes the whole attempt sound too easy
