Congratulations Sri on the SS1000
Doing an SS1000 is always a challenge on any motorcycle irrespective of their engine capacity, Indian Highway conditions test your riding and concentration skills to the limit.
Doing it on big-bikes presents a different set of difficulties, such as fuel, higher effort to maneuver, to brake and to corner
Kudos Sri for this effort, Harley should be proud to have this breed of riders who can truly test the motorcycle.
True Test of the Harley's Reliability [pun intended

Congrats man!
I guess strider & you are the only 2 people to have done SS on CBU/CKD bikes on xBhp.
My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Wonderful accomplishment and Congrats Sri.
This is a real achievement esp on a harley sportster with indian road conditions. I am sure the windshield was a big boon to keep the wind off the chest & reduce so much fatigue.

1753 kms is EPIC!
Reminds me of my own SS 2 weeks back although that was unofficial - without any proof.. I covered 1604 kms in 23 hours at a stage when I'd never done anything above 260kms in a day! It was a good experience..
A horrible bump at a toll booth put me off too..
Must have been heavenly cruising at 130 with that amazing sound all around you
Congrats! And yeah - Your log makes the whole attempt sound too easy
Get ready for the ride! 24 Hours on a Bike...
An amazing ghat, a beautiful beach and next to zero visibility fog - All in 150kms
Marvellous Monsoon!
