                A DAY BEFORE:

On Sunday morning, I went on a breakfast ride to Lonavala with some fellow xbhpians and came back by 11 am. I already did my homework for the ride and DK also sent an e-mail across for the essentials of the ride. So we all were almost prepared for the ride. We decided to spend the night at DK’s place and leave from there, unfortunately, the transformer in his area had a break down, so no electricity all night. We slept around midnight with lot of discussion about the ride.

Time to Roll: Destination Unknown for Day 1:

We left from DK’s place at 4.00 AM on Monday morning and we were still not sure where we are heading to... GOA?? OOTY?? KANYAKUMARI?? Ashish, newbie in motorcycling (a good rider though), with his 4 month old pulsar and Jinson who doesn’t even know to ride a bike, were out on a roadtrip for the first time. They have covered likes of Tamini ghat, Mumbai, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar before, but not such long rides, but his willingness to ride and Jinson’s willingness to bear were too tough to stop them. Me and DK had done many roadtrips in past together. We visited the nearby Hanuman temple in Nigdi and rolled out. We took out first stop after Satara for some tea and leak.

Second stop somehwere near Kolhapur for leak once again

and dense fog in and around Kolhapur....

                Near Maharashtra-Karnataka border.

                Never ending roads...

                Somewhere near Bangalore...

                Happy soul....

                Day 1 Route: NH-4 : Pune- Belgaum – Hubli - Bangalore. (890+ Kms)

Reached Bangalore, took shelter at a friends flat for the night, planned for day 2 and went to sleep.

Travelling on NH4 from Pune-Bangalore becomes Monotonous at times because of not so diversified landscapes around you. When you travel in a group that can be compensated. Good to see all of you are travelling with proper gears. Next time when u r in Blore, drop by at my place.

nice to see someone doing a Goa roadtrip. One of my favorite destinations for a road trip. Nice!!!!
There are two types of people in this world, people who ride Motorcycles and people who wish they could ride Motorcycles.

Goa is indeed beautiful, but the roads from Pune to Goa are in a bad condition... on the other hand, the roads leading to Goa from South India are butter smooth, loved riding there.
