Hello,
We have already bought the helmets (so cant do much), but I guess 300-350 kms ride with 5-6 stops in between should not be much of problem for the neck (we will do proper streching during the halts)...
We spoke to Dhone Auto, but it wasn't of much help. We are speaking to entrpreneurs and business in Pune. If someone has any contact with anyone who could sponsor (Our flag off event will have more than 500 people), please let me know...
Friends, do see and comment on our website - www.liveyourdream.co.in
Thanks
Sushil

@ aargee: They are planning to ship their steeds to Kanyakumari and the actual ride will start from Kanyakumari... That will be the Day-1 (I guess..)Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ Nice website; if you flag off from Pune, do you guys ride from Pune to K-Kumari on day 1?Originality is the art of hiding your sources...

We will be reaching Trivandrum at 12:30 pm on 3-March. If we start immediately, I think we will reach Kanyakumari at around 3 pm. If we manage to collect the bikes and start by around 5 pm we will cover around 80-100 kms that day.
Other option is we halt at Kanyakumari itself on 3-March and start from Kanyakumari on 4-March at 6 am.

Thanks Rahul.GvliOriginally posted by sushilmundada View PostYes, thats right, we will ship our bikes to Kanyakumari beforehand and we ourselves will fly there
I see your route from Kanyakumari-Madurai-Salem-Bangalore; is that right? If so, would you take a moment at Krishnagiri? I'd like to ride down from Chennai to K'Giri (3 or 4 Mar) to say bye & wish you good luck to you folks.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Thanks a lot @The Celebrity, @raja_roadster, @argee. Can we exchage numbers via PM since I am not sure if we will have net connectivity enroute.
Its heartening to see fellow xBhpian bikers being willing to meet us on our route and offer their valuable support. Will definetely keep you guys posted on our exact plans.
Last weekend, we did the Pune-Lavasa-Pune (150 kms) route. Really enjoyed the twists and turns enroute.

All the best for your K2K ride, keep couple of days in buffer.
If possible try keeping extra/ additional spare parts like Clutch cables, clutch / break lever, extra spark plug (as you'll be riding in Himalaya's in cold weather) more powerful lights/ horns etc. Footpump, Medical kit, Jerrycans for fuel and list goes on... :P
Ride safe mate, have fun \m/
Cheers,
