Midnight Offroading - Telbaila, Amby Valley, Lonavala

    5th April - Mahavir Jayanti
    6th April - Good Friday
    7th April - Saturday
    8th April - Easter Sunday

A long four day weekend for some!

I was already frustrated that I didnt have those holidays and no time to even plan something...

I eventually did take an off on friday but still had no plan till friday afternoon - SAD and DEPRESSING !

I dont know what happened to me but I put up a FB status asking if anyone wanted to accompany me for a quick impromptu night ride out of the city and thats when aur beloved kakkar called me up saying "lets join pune gang to slope of hell"

I didnt want to go to slope of hell again so called up our biker-hiker Krishna from Pune to check if we could go somewhere else and "TelBaila-Mulshi" was his quick reply...we had thought of doing this since quite a long time..

So sorry all those who now know that I already knew about the offroading part and didnt tell you ! Especially Manas and Satyen...you can abuse me but I know you too had fun !

    To be continued....

    Some teaser pics...

Thanks to Veeral,Eshan,Nikhil,Vivek and others for clicking pics too..will post them here too
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

can you please post the pics for the last year's ride?
btw, strange that a ride that was cancelled for insufficient participation had nearly 30 bikers
its in the league of some MEGA G2G's

had an awesome ride.. wish you people had stayed back in the morning for another proper offroading session that had followed

Offroading is good Rockerz ji, but some morning things take higher priority . Anyways had a lot of fun, especially in the morning, when I could actually see where I was going through that tinted visor of mine..

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

haha Antz.. I wonder how you managed to ride in the night then ... must be having that spaceage-predator-terminator-eyed-nightvision installed in your helmet visor :P

yeah it was great fun in the morning and the fun was doubled for me and Rockerz as we were quenching even the last last drop of whatever fuel we had left with,to ride further in, relying totally on poor kakkar's half filled FZ tank ... .. thankfully for him.. it wasnt needed ...!!!!!

            cheerzz..

Had good fun, though an advisory on the road conditions would have meant I would have got the FZ instead.... with no clue on the venue, and plans, and the frustration, I was planning to go somewhere else but this venue definitely deserves another visit on a more apt machine.

When can we go there again!

strangely, after this ride, i got my bike washed (yes! washed after 3 months), and waxed it for the next 3 hrs to get a spanking clean and shining bike on sunday morning

btw, when did you reach mumbai, i guess you were in pune on saturday

The wait for mumbai xbhp's two chammak challos Sachin and Kakkar..

                        Then proceeded towards Lonavala..

Our 1st mishap was near khopoli when a drum fell off the bus travelling just in front of us,sparks went flying as soon as the drum touched the road...it was very scary !

It hit the innova trying to overtake the bus and I ,with Veeral as pillion, managed to dodge it and quickly check if kakkar just behind us wasnt bowled !

Luckily everyone was safe and we moved further only to know the pune gang were waiting for us(the mumbai gang) and doing timepass at khandala then..

Some pictures clicked by Eshan and Nikhil there..

                        Thats Khopoli..

Then reached Kamath's,Lonavala and met Pune gang to go to Mirchi Hotel for dinner..requested the hotel owner to open the hotel and he obliged...after12!

As usual bakar but SWEET butter chicken ! Probably they saw kakkar and prepared the food accordingly
