We started at 6AM. Took the same Pokhran road. The urge to ride fast was unavoidable. Did few runs of 160kmph. Vishwas was slow and sturdy at 120kmph. Reached Pokran very early, took a breakfast and fuel break. On the way to Pokran, few occasions, it felt good seeing group on Military vehicles (trucks, tanks etc). Reminded me of Border movie. It was NH15 till Pokaran and later 114 from Balesar, Keru to Jodhpur.

Even the distance was less, we decided to leave as usual, We left the hotel at 6AM. Again, we had filled up the petrol the earlier night to avoid any delays. We were cruising along very nicely till Pali (110kms). Reached the place around 7.15AM. Took a break of around 30 mins. After we started, we had to leave the National Highway. We took the state highway for Udaipur. On the way, we hit the worst roads so far . We took around 3 hours to travel 83kms . In fact there was no road for 25-30kms of the journey. Every time we asked the locals, they said, just after few kms you will get the 4 lane highway J

OMG!!! Bad comment eh The food at museum was simply awesome. Costs about Rs 250 or so I think, but amazing food, awesome service (beats some of 5 star hotels too)

                              Dear Vishwas and Amit,

Great ride it must have been.

Your log reminded me of the time when I had done Delhi to Jaisalmer and back in 2007 whilst posted to Delhi. It had been a lovely trip in my beloved Indigo. My troops hail from Rajasthan and for me, it was a most special trip to visit the places where their ancestors fought with gallant battles. Sadly, I could not take in Haldi Ghati.

The slow roast I can understand very well indeed. We used to go to the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan regularly. Also, saw 3 years at Suratgarh out of which, one year was spent in tents on the international boundary during Operation Parakram in 2001. Plenty of roasting then with temps reaching 49 degrees in the shade. Some good stories about that time...

@Vishwas. What is the logo on the cap that you were wearing, the one with the gold braid on the peak?
