i clicked few pics on my way to upshi from leh..

it was almost 7:00pm when i reached the place where my dad had arranged accommodation , so i decided to freshen up and relax .

Day 17

DAY 17 - 26 july 2012

i had planned to visit changla and pangong tso lake and return back to upshi by night , so i started early .
i inquired about the route with some laborers and locals ,afer travelling for 40mins i agained inquired on the way and found people had confused pongang tso lake with town called pang so i returned back to upshi and took a break in KARU .

* KARU HAS LAST PETROL PUMP AND ATM till next 250-300kms..

on the way to changla

at hemis monastery

after i visited hemis gompa , i sat in the parking sipping fruit juice and there i saw a foreigner struggling to take off luggage from his bike. i reminded him that monastery was about to close so he had to hurry.
he said that some people had suggested him not to leave luggage on the bike .
i assured him that i was there for next 15-20 mins so he could rely on me(which he did).
after he came back from monastery he thanked me and we had a little chat.
we both were heading towards manali the next day so we planned to go together .
ecco gave me details about his hotel (ruptse) and we planned to start 7:00am-7:30..

so we went together till upshi where i went towards my hotel and ecco went to his hotel in ruptse.
