Day 2 : Photography and return

We woke Sunday morning early at 6 am to capture the beautiful scenic beauty of Lansdowne. Me, Prat, Bishal and Ankush were out tgo enjoy the cool air and the mild sun early in the morning. We found Shekhar was already up and shooting with his cam. As usual we spent some good time clicking nature at its best. Then was time for breakfast. By then I had also topped up the engine oil in my bike. It was almost 10am we learnt Lakshit and Prashant were just about 125kms away. By 11am we got freshened up, had some tea, had some group pics clicked when Lakshit and Prashant finally reached. They made it in pretty good time. They started at 5 am from Delhi and reached Lansdowne by 11am. Hats-off to you guys. Then we ordered our breakfast and hhad some chit-chat over the breakfast table. After breakfast, we went out to venture out a couple of churches and a lake. Unfortunately, the churches were closed, so we went to the lake and had some merry time.

Finally, it was checking-out time when we had to start our return journey. We started at around 2.30pm and were doing good pace, when I crashed near Kotdwar. Near a speedbreaker, my front wheel locked due to braking and fell on my right side. My bike and me received minor bruises. It could have been more injury but for the riding gears. Once again, I realised the importance of the riding gears. Then we carried on. In the mid-way, Shekhar's bike's battery exhausted and we had to take an unplanned break. Somehow, he was able to re-start his bike and continued the journey.

Me, Shiwaan, Prateek and Bishal were lagging behind mostly due to the heavy traffic on the highway. So at around 7.30pm we stopeed, and decided to have dinner before we move on. So Prateek informed Shekhar about our plan and asked to carry on. We reached Meerut by 8pm where we called Asif, since he was the local boy out there and our freind, we decide to meet him up at dinner. Asif met us at the Meerut-Ghaziabad border. We had some quality time together, had dinner, some hot drinks and then it was time for us to leave. We started at 10pm and still had 40kms to Ghaziabad and almost 100kms to my place. So me and Shiwaan bid goodbye to Prateek and Bishal and we picked up speed. I reached home by 12 am and Shiwaan might have reached Gurgaon almost by the ame time.

This brings me to the end of my part of the story. It was an enjoyable ride with fellow Xbhpians and freinds. Though we missed some freinds from the last ride, but thats the part of life. It was my second ride with Falcor and I enjoyed every moment of the ride albeitt the fall I had. Looking forward more of such rides with my babes.

Adieous everyone till the next ride.
