I am a member of xbhp.com since 2004, reading through threads, joining rides in Bangalore and learning a lot off the forum. Then I moved to cars but the thirst for the 2 wheels just did not get over me. Getting back to bikes was the call of the hour. It had to be an Yamaha and R15 looked okay. Later I realized, it was way more than 'okay'. I was back in Bangalore and I could see none of the old riders in Bangalore. Time to form a new group and start riding. How about riding with other riders who share the similar sentiment towards Yamaha bikes ? In came the call for Yamaha riders for a quick ride to Yelagiri to strangers, or were they. Early morning at 0600 hrs I reached and was surprised to see another R15 v2.0 parked with a guy called bobbing his head to the tunes of his iPhone. Rayhan. Couple of minutes and we were joined by Suraj, TJ, Sachin and Daytona. Asking for whereabouts, finally came Ron on a Yamaha R15 v2.0 50th Anniversary edition. Yes, we had 7 R15s v2.0s lined up and in no time there were no strangers. Helmets on and we headed towards Yelagiri. We rode for sometime after which we started flying low. New group and ripping out was the way to say hello to each other. Ripping but in a sane manner, or was it.
On the way we caught up with SurajB who came in on a R15 v2.0 Sunset Red. Yep, so that was 8 R15 v2.0s lined up and riding their way to Yelagiri. Coincidence ? Talking, riding, food, good curves to bend on and good straights to rip on. Time to form in a group. In came Yamaha Riders Club. We thought a lot if we should make it Bangalore specific or India. Why just restrict the fun to us and hence started Yamaha Riders Club - India. Objective was to get Yamaha riders together and just ride along. No major hue and cry over it and off we started. What started with a small group to ride together is now extended to Bangalore, Pune and Chennai. 19 Rides covering some 30K cumulative kms covered supported by around 50+ unique riders each understanding the importance of riding gears and enjoying riding as much as we do. The group grew and so grew the awareness of riding jackets, knee guards, gloves etc. It was a pleasure to see riders growing up to more sensible ones while having the fun of riding. We started thinking beyond rides too as we printed T-Shirts, Stickers, Visiting Cards and a web site which is still under construction.
But while all this was happening, there was one thing that was running along our head since the first ride, RIDE TO GOA. We were sure that it had to happen but when, where to and how to plan up came in gradually. And here we are just 6 days to our official Annual ride to Goa. We would be joined by riders from Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune and Goa.
What happens next is updates that will be coming from various riders who are participating in this thread as their perspective of the ride.

(but will join sometime in the near future!!)
