    Details coming soon....

  • #2
    Topic Approved.

Although quite a captivating picture of the Duke, but I hope those are abandoned railway tracks. It could get dangerous for the bike, at this distance from the track.

But nice pic though. Waiting for the "details"...

Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than
a long life spend in a miserable way

I deeply do believe in above statement. And that's how everything started. A small introduction about me for my new friends here.

I am N. I. John from Bangalore. Passion and profession is Photography and Biking is pure passion. I ride pulsar 220 and Duke 200.

I quit my regular job and started LetsClick Photography which is my living source. I will travel on motorcycle and will continue doing photography in my entire life, no matter what. I find myself happy this way. I organize various level of Photography workshop in various cities. I do take many types of photography projects like Wedding, family function, birthday function, model shoot, product shoot blah blah blah. It is important to let you know this because that is how I get money to buy petrol.

All my friends here are my true inspiration which let me get going. That's all about me. Now lets get into the main course.

        Day 1 (Bangalore - Krishnagiri - Chennai)

Twice in a month I organize photography workshop in Chennai. Usually it takes place on Saturday and Sunday. And of-course I ride my bike every-time to Chennai. As usual my plan was to leave Bangalore on Friday. My friend Muthu is from Chennai and he works in Bangalore. He wanted to ride his Ninja 250 to Chennai that weekend. So we planned to leave Bangalore together.

7:20 AM left Bangalore (started from Bomanahalli)
8:05 AM reached at Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B)
        9:05 AM left A2B

Reached Chennai at around 1 PM. We took the usual Krishnagiri route.

Couple of breaks for Petrol and mutra visarjan killed around 45 minutes. It was quick. Muthu was not doing more than 140 so I was able to be with him till we reach Chennai. KTM Duke does 130 quite easily. But wind blast is way too much.

I didn't take my camera out at all. Clicked few on Nokia E6.

Reached Chennai. Said bye to Muthu and now I am on my own. Got busy with workshop work in Chennai.

With my student at Spring Hotel

        Gandhi Statue, Marina Beach.

Few photographs from the early morning practical session (photo-walk) at Marina Beach.

Shooting at Beach was really fun.

Was explaining how to use strobe as Wireless Slaves. Was using SB-910

An example shot of Shallow depth of field

Many were saying "I don't find any subject to click". Below two images were example shots for them to develop creative eye and stop saying I don't find subject to click. Images can be made from anywhere.

        Example shot of Panning Photography

        Silhouette of a Camera

        Few more random images

Group pic from Evening Photo-walk at Semmozhi Poonga.

So was done with the Chennai workshop after the evening photo-walk. Had dinner with friends and was done for the day. The next workshop works were in another city. Had to ride a lot next day so slept of quickly.

Next Day Woke up around 9 AM. Got ready quickly and left Chennai at around 10:30 AM. Getting out from Chennai city took more than 30 minutes. Took below route.

              Chennai - Tindivanam - Viluppuram - Ulundurpet - Salem - Coimbatore

All the way road is awesome. Just before Salem and Coimbatore few kms were really bad. Reached Coimbatore at around 8:15 PM. As I had LetsClick related work so had to stay in Coimbatore 2 nights.

GPS was helping me a lot.

              Clicked before Salem.

Around 5:00 PM I got free. Friend Lijo came to meet me. And coincidentally he lives just about a km away from the location I was staying.

We had some quick DIY session with our camera equipment. And the day ended with Sunset clicks from Deepak's terrace.

Next day I rode to one of my favorite place.

Yes I rode to Ooty as I had appointment with Light and Life Academy, Lovedale, Ooty.

It was so damn cold in Ooty.

Left Coimbatore at around 9:30 AM. Very less distance to cover hence rode very comfortably. Was in no mood of going fast. Coimbatore to Annur road was absolutely fine. You will face lot of traffic though. As soon as you take left turn at Annur towards Mettupalayam, road is just too good with no traffic.

                  Annur to Mettupalayam road

                  Soon I reached to Mettupalayam.

It was bit confusing in Mattupalayam to find the Kotagiri route. Board usually shows Coonoor route. Follow the straight road in the city and take right turn just after you cross the bridge (not a flyover). And fun started from there.

                  Mettupalayam – Kotagiri road

Ooty is very close-by. Reached before lunch. Clicked few pics on my way...here they are

                  At Udagamandalam Station

I must Thank my friend Vijay at Ooty who did arrange my stay there and took me places around. His company at Ooty was really remarkable.

Next day was really a busy day. Morning photo-walk, meeting with Light and Life Academy and photo-shoot at many places....

The first thing I did after I wake up next morning was Checking my bike.

Got ready quickly and started my day with 3 cups of tea.

Walked a lot that morning. My appointment with Light and Life Academy was at 12:00 PM. So I got lot of time to walk and shoot around.

                  Morning cold was unbearable.

                  The Ooty

                  The Guard

Done with morning walk and breakfast. Its time to head towards the place for what I was there in Ooty. Light and Life academy located in Lovedale. Lovedale is a place name there. It has a railway station too. Few pics on my way to LL Academy.

The entire thing is Light and Life Academy.

At Lovedale Station. Had really good time there...

After all those fun time at Lovedale station, I headed towards Pykara. On the way stopped at Kamaraj Sagar Dam. After spending sometimes there soon headed to Pykara. From Pykara came back Ooty. And my friend Vijay was with me from Morning. Because of him finding places around was very easy.

                  Kamaraj Sagar Dam

                  At Pykara

                  Next day to Another Town.

Somewhere I read: "I don't blog often, but if I do, I do it like a legend". Kudos for such an amazing story. Waiting for the rest of it. Well, regret that I could not meet you in Mangalore. Waiting for the rest of the story. And your arrival at Mangalore.

                    Cheers.
