Lovely trip and photos mate! I normally skip bird photos, but I looked at all of yours
Next time use a monopod, to get even sharper photos at lower ISO's.

For this trip I used Nikon D7000 on a 70-300mm VR lens.

Yeah a monopod will do the trick, I do own one but personally if you ask me I avoid monopod for such photography for the only reason these birds move too fast. Its easier to catch them and seize the moment handheld.

Saving for a faster lens to get results as good as when on a monopod.

I don't mind as long as NOT being used commercially. Although watermark is kept as a due respect to the person capturing the photograph.

            Either way, its cool.

Some more shots which were little difficult to take.

Antlers are very shy in the national park. Very difficult to get the right frame.

I don't know why but all the parrots I saw inside the park have this typical aggressive expression on their face.

Nil Gai is a common sight inside the park near the marshy area around the lake.

Already seen these pictures and really you have inspired me to go to Bharatpur once again.
My last trip (also my first trip to any place) to Bharatpur back in 2002 was a mixed bag and hence I never put it on my wishlist, thanks for opening my eyes

This year it was just 1 day in the park. If you can make 2 days sighting inside then Keoladeo has wonders to offer. Except on weekends becoz of the noisy crowd.

Arrival of birds have improved since the crises of 2007. Join in when I head there next year again...
