            Re: Lonely Cloud

I made a wrong move and had to start only by 10am. This meant that I could only reach Chungtang by evening. The road to Mangan is amazing - typical sports bike road except for 1 muddy pit from indiana jones. The road frm Mangan to Chungtang took me 3hrs for 30+ kms. I met a Belgian couple on ktm 990 adventure in Mangan....they rode all the way from Belgium.

Was heading to Bhutan border. However, I noticed Jaldapara wildlife sanctuary by the road n stopped there fr the night. I m in the middle of a jungle (not concrete jungle) now.

I have booked for elephant safari tomorrow morning.

Dont worry. Just go to home dept office (confidential records dept - ground flr) in manan bhavan - development area rd. Get your approval letters. Go to 3rd mile checkpost n get your permits.

Dont go to sikkim tourism or usual permit office (in mg road).

Wow !! That's a real nice T-log. Hooked to it. Keep it coming

BTW, you should spend a full moon night at the forest bungalow besides Murti river. You'll get see one of best scenic beauties. Also, try to cover Buxa, Chalsa, Jhalong, Kalchini etc. Dooars is too good to roam about.
