Feels good that nice and helping people are still out there and i feel proud in saying that they were fellow bikers.

The expression on your sister's face must have been priceless. And to add more joy, your mum also made the trip. One happy reunion

Yes fellow bikers were very helpful indeed! Insaaniyat pe jaise bharosa waapis aa gaya. Humanity still exists!

Yes, sadly I couldn't capture the moment despite having my camera for the exact thing. I was in the hiding and placed my cam on timer when I came out, but it clicked pics too late.

Today I was going to ride to Puri and Konark with @SWAYAN and @black asp.

We started early morning at 7:30 and picked my sis from her hostel and set off for the ~200 km journey. (round trip)

Few pics that I managed in the sweltering heat.

We had yummy lunch and headed back to Bhubaneshwar. Tried reaching Nandan Kanan too, but missed it by 10 odd minutes.

Some pics taken in Nandan Kanan by my sister few days ago (last few posted in the log were her's only).

Then I went back to drop her to her college and chatted with her for a couple of hours. I had to leave the next day.

We were sad that the trip was coming to an end. A lovely bird was singing nearby. Found it and clicked it.

Promised her that I'd return again with more days in hand and took her leave.

Tomorrow, I'd start my return journey (and host of unfortunate events would happen back in Bangalore).

Ah this log has been the slowest mover from my side. Anyways, here's the last part. (Mostly text, less pics)

I started from Bhubaneshwar at 3 AM to beat the heat and cover considerable distance before sun sets in. Took me a while to find the highway leading to Khurda and by 4 AM I was running away from Bhubaneshwar.
There were a few trucks to give me company, apart from that; I was ghostly alone!

I had seen so many sunrise/sunsets that they were no longer appealing to me.
So, I decided to have tea at a roadside dhaba while Mr Sun did his stuff.

Reached Berhampur soon and saw a lot of birds dancing on the road. I mean they were flying really low and I was scared of hitting some.
              This was one of them.

Then it was boring highway again. Pretty uneventful. Stopped for a butt break at Srikakulam when I saw Lasith Malinga coming.

I was by now getting severe hunger pangs. Coconut water was no longer cutting it for me. Vizag helped me here. Stopped at a much needed AC restaurant SFC. (opposite Mr Reddy cricket stadium)

The plan was to reach Vijaywada early and break for the day and start early by 3 AM again the next day. Hence I rode like a dog the whole day in scorching heat. Took water breaks every 1 hour and rode on. I was really tired by the time I reached Rajahmundry and took a good 45 min break. Saw a few farmers doing their job in the heat and I must say, they work in such bad conditions daily. Respect!

Back on the road, I reached Vijaywada by 7 PM courtesy slow moving city traffic. Took dinner early, had a bath and slept.
I lodged at Annapurna hotel. 600 rupees with a nice parking.

Set off next morning at 3:30 AM and raced towards Bangalore. Despite a good night's sleep, I was very sleepy. Took a 40 min nap again at a Punjabi dhaba about 80 km from Vijaywada to kill the sleep.

My progress was very slow. I had done only 140 odd kms in 3 hours because of the sleepiness.

Then came the shocker! Got a call in the morning that my friends had met with an accident in Bangalore. They were hit head on on Sunday night by drunk guys performing a wheelie!
Both of them were in the ICU and were treated for multiple fractures in the skull and limbs.

I must thank @plasmabhai for visiting them and updating me regularly on their status.

All sleep was gone. In fact I was so frustrated that I was far my them that I missed the turn to Bangalore near Tirupati and headed towards Chennai. Somehow, I got a road cutting through villages towards Chittoor. I was basically tired by now. More mentally. Took me 6 hours to complete the hills near Chittoor and reach the familiar roads of Mulbagal. I had done this in 4 hours while going 5 days back!

It was refreshing seeing this near Kolar. (notice the spelling mistake)

Then it was the painful Bangalore traffic and I reached home only after 7:30 PM.
Pics from my bike's console: Trip meter and total ODO count. Reaching 50k soon.

Mileage (if that matters) : ~49 kmpl over the entire trip. (67 L of petrol used)

Took bath and rushed to the hospital.

              Update on my friends:
1 is discharged and the other is recovering steadily. Though the bill ran into lacs, I'm glad they're still with me.

Overall, this trip left mixed emotions on me and was quite loaded in all aspects. I hope I do a similar one soon but with lesser tensions and more days in hand.

              Thank you for reading.

Nope bro, I just get 43-48kmpl while long ride , if I ride sane in local I get 51kmpl max ..
65kmpl mileage is just a dream for 125cc punny engine while ripping and raping hard (while on highway it redlines all the distance) , but 100cc bikes mostly get that .
For now add on is little compression loss,as my bike already clocked 53k+ kms ..

Thanks to FI, ZMR gets this super awesome mileage ..
As per my dad , he never got 38+kmpl on his ZMA , but always got 40-48kmpl on his ZMR ..

Yes, these were sold outside the temple near the entrance.

That must've been one hell of a baking session bro... and some hardcore riding... hats off.

My favorite quote in the t-log was...

"...and then I saw Lasith Malinga coming..." ... hahahahaa...

Loved that Sunrise snap from Tirupati too...

                          Cheers.

Nice trip-log, it's always good to be near loved ones, especially when it's a family get-together.
Also good that you rode safely, and within your limits, it should be a lesson to all newcomers who think it's an easy job to get out there on the highway.
Finally, I hope your friends are recovering well after that terrible accident.

Thanks Aamir bhai. I do hope people can take a leaf out of my experience.

Also, both my friends are out of hospital now. They have been asked for bed rest for 2 months, but both are safe now.
