It took bloody 19hours from vlr because of rain and my small bike , while coming back I managed to enter my hostel in 18hours + but my a$$ was smoking :P
It actually took me more time doing BLR-BBSR. It was horribly hot and I started taking breaks every 40-45 min or so during the peak noon to 4 PM types time. Regarding my derriere, well I lost sensation 2 days ago and I'm yet to find it.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement bhai. Yes, sis was happy. Regarding my pals' accident, that a sad story and I'll create a separate thread on it soon.

Thanks a lot sir jee. You trips on N650 give me a lot of morale boost to take my moped to far off places.

------------------------------------------------

My 1st conversation with papa (on phone) when I disclosed to him that I want to do 3000+ kms on my bike.

Papa: Choose your next words carefully, Divya. They may be your last as a rider.
Divya: [to himself: thinking] How do I convince him? Err.

Papa: Madman! You're a madman!
Divya: Papa, trust me, it'll be safe. Let me go, else I won't talk to you!

Papa: Nobody, son/daughter/wife; no person threatens a Papa!
Divya: You're taking unnecessary tension dad. I've planned the trip carefully. Perhaps you should try and understand the same!

Papa: This is blasphemy! This is madness!
Divya: Madness...?

Divya: Papaaaaaaa!!! Chill down. We'll talk again tomorrow.

I'm sure dad would have had a similar expression:

Thanks Divya Sharan bro for visiting our state in this humid and sweltering conditions. Our hospitality is not as great as your spirit and determination to complete a interstate ride in such horrid conditions. Again i personally thank you for providing me the opportunity of being a part of your grand adventure. We the odisha xbhpians are eagerly waiting for any one and every one who comes riding to our state to honor him with our hospitality.

Finally the trip log is up and kicking. Man it was very pleasant in meeting you, but it was a very short meeting. I was in-fact very sorry that i couldn't meet you properly as it was the ending of march and we bank employees have no respite and no leave is possible. Otherwise if it would have been in other month i would have taken leave and accompanied you with near by trips. Also glad to know that you reached safely. Your trip inspires me to do similar trip one to Bangalore and other to Hyderabad to meet shoeb. Also we odisha xbhpian are always ready to welcome anyone who rides into bhubaneswar, but i missed the G2G which i regret a lot. Also i have already met few xbhpian from other states but still haven't met anyone from our city, thats just amazing. Now the reverse is going to happen as my sister is going to Bangalore for job and may be i will ride there most probably in winter. And lastly couldn't let you ride my joy as it as it was quite late in night. How i wished you could stay one day more as i could have spent some more time with you.

Finally, you did it.
Awesome pictures are taken for granted so I wont even discuss about them, however, the will to ride that kind of distance in the prevailing conditions and that too on roads that are not popular for touring is indeed a great achievement.

Sad, I couldn't meet you, par ab to aana jaana laga hi rahega. :-)
Last month did Banglr-Bbsr to and fro on a four wheel. Took me exactly 30 hours(with5-6 hours rest) both ways. Hoping To do it again on my bike someday. Though I couldn't gather the courage like you to do it alone(Had a friend as company in the car trip).
All the best for future rides, and hopefully a iron Butt someday. ;-)

Thanks a lot dada.

---------------------------

First of all, I'd thank XBHP's dada - @SuvraGanguly for encouraging me to do this trip solo right from day one. Later I got useful tips and encouragement from @saquib3005 and @plasmabhai as well.
But dada's words struck me hard when I'd asked him how he did Valparai in a day (900 kms to and fro). He said - "It's all in the mind!"

I owe you one sire!

Route followed:

Bangalore - Kolar - Mulbagal - Chittoor - Tirupati - Gudur - Ongole - Nellore - Vijaywada - Rajahmundry - Vizag - Srikakulam - Ichchapuram - Berhampur - Bhubaneshwar (same route for return)

I was very happy to know that I'll have company at least for the first 50 kms of my trip till Narsapura CCD where plasmabhai, @seahorses, @Sauban Ahmed, @saquib3005 and @SuvraGanguly had come to see me off.

I left the place by 3:30 AM and proceeded towards Tirupati. Roads were bad from Mulbagal to Chittoor.

Saw sunrise en-route.

After a heavy Andhra style breakfast, I moved on. It was already getting hot and by the time I reached Gudur I was boiling.

I got myself a butt break every hour or so from now on and drank almost a full liter water every single time. It was very hot and the highway was boring. Even trees were scarce!
Got a few pics of straight roads during the pit stops, but here's one I loved seeing. Farmers doing their work in blazing heat. Salute them!

It was well past noon when I crossed Ongole and was nearing Vijaywada, but there were crazy number of diversions throughout! Very tiring indeed!!!
Something that uplifted my mood was this:

Took me one full hour negotiating the city traffic to reach the railway station where you get decent lodges with parking. Got one for 400 rupees per person. Decent indoor parking. Me happy.
Name - Narayana Lodge, 1 km from the railway station.

Quickly I freshened up and notified people of my whereabouts, had dinner and slept!

Ha ha... Yes, I did catch up a few apects from Odisha. Humidity part is ok, since I lived in Chennai for almost 2 years, but I was riding a lot daily with less than 5 hours of sleep. Hence, I was totally sapped of energy by the time we met.

Sorry folk for the delay in the log, as I said my friends met with a bad accident; I was spending most of my time in the hospital. Anyways, here's the log further.
----------------------------------------

I started from Rajahmundry to my destination Bhubaneshwar after a good night's sleep. The target was reaching Bhubaneshwar before 7 PM so that I avoid the home returning folk. (from office)

Stopped enroute before Vizag for pics during sunrise.

Thereafter I continued riding while taking regular breaks every 1 hour as it was hot even in the morning. I precisely reached Vizag at 8:45 AM and it being a weekday made matters worse. People were going to office. It took me almost an hour to cross the city and I was exhausted. Had a light breakfast after exiting Vizag.

Soon I crossed Srikakulam as well as Ichchapuram. Road surface changed as soon as I reached Odisha. They weren't bad, but not as good as Tamil Nadu or Andhra's highways. At least, there were no potholes.
I stopped at one lonely visitors' shed and took a 30 min break to soothe my burning behind.

Thereafter I started riding and Bhubaneshwar was getting close.

This was it! It gave me a lot of strength to push it. In fact, when I reached Khurda, I saw a board saying that my destination is only 20 kms away when I got some adrenaline push and I was back doing 100+ kmph when a cyclist decided to cross the road barely 100 metres ahead of me. I braked and almost locked the front. I let the brakes go and regained traction. Still I was doing 70+ when I came very close to this guy. I downshifted to 3rd and somehow swerved and missed him by a few cms. I think I touched his robes! It was very scary.

Went a km ahead and took a break for sometime. Called up @black asp and told him I was about to reach.

Rest of the day was uneventful while Odisha XBHPians were very helpful. I lodged in Hotel Shrutee near the railway station and the next day I was prepared for surprising my sister.

Surprises for my sister:
#1 - a mobile phone.
#2 - my mother (she travelled by train and returned back the same day, she just wanted to be a part of my plan)
#3 - me!

My mom with 2 of my sister's classmates who brought her to the college from railway station. Nice guys!

Needless to say, she went bananas by the time she saw me! Loved the experience.

But as they say, too much joy doesn't last long. I suddenly felt a bad cramp in my left abdomen. Yes, kidney stone had struck back!
Thankfully, I had my SOS medicine with me which calmed down the pain and I rode to the hospital with my sister as pillion with @black asp guiding me (can you believe it, he took a full day leave for me?).

I was immediately hospitalised and given a few medicines. But since my stay wasn't long, I was adviced complete day's bed rest and that meant I missed 2 biggest photo ops from my trip: Chilika and Nandan Kanan.

Here's what I missed:

There are a few more, but it being onset of summer, birds are rare.

I had a G2G at night where I met @black asp, SWAYAN, @Bibhu (who came from Cuttack), Siddhant Mishra and few others too. Had a lot of biker talk and yummy food thereafter!
